How to prepare Tomato Chutney? Recipe for an accompaniment of Rice
Tomato Chutney Preparation
Tomato Chutney is a nice side dish one can serve with dosa, idli or rice.
- 4 Medium Tomatoes finely chopped
- 2 Green Chillies
- 2 Dried Red Chillies
- ½ tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 tsp Urad dal
- 1 tsp Methi seeds
- 1 tsp Coriander seeds
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp hing
Method of Preparation
Heat Oil in a Kadai and add urad dal,methi seeds ,coriander seeds , hing and chilliies and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes, sugar and salt and cook for around 5-6 minutes. Once done remove from heat and allow cooling. Run the ingredients in a mixture and make a fine paste. Do a seasoning with oil, curry leaves, red chillies and mustard seeds.
