Carbohydrates for health conscious!

Are you on a healthy diet? Avoiding eating too much of carbohydrates because it makes you fat? Well, good news! Carbohydrates need not be avoided too much anymore because their are good source of carbohydrates that won't make us gain weight too much but instead helps our immune system to work well with other nutrients in our body. Always rememeber, carbohydrates is our bodies source of energy. Without them, our bodies will eventually deteriorate.


What are the good sources of carbohydrates then?

There are food groups that are rich in carbohydrates contents and some have less. These rich carbohydrates foods are usually high or rich in fiber which is good or healthy to people who have heart problems, high blood pressure, diabetic and as well as people who wanted to have toned muscle. Examples of good sources of carbohydrates are oats, brown rice, brown sugar, wheat bread, pasturized egg not broiler (duck egg the best or those chicken who eat organic foods and not processed feeds).


Does eating rich source of carbohydrates is not good to people who wanted to loose weight?

No. Rich (good source) carbohydrates will help you loose weight and not gain weight. Why? It is because this food group is rich in fiber, which cleanse our body fast because toxins and fats will be delivered by this high fibrous foods (together with water) into our intestines as wastes.


Then why people have false belief that carbohydrates makes us fat?

Half false, half true. Why half false? Again, carbohyrates is our main source of energy (fuel) hence it is essential in our diet. Without carbohydrates, the body cannot work well to perform physical activities especially extrenuous one like jogging, running, heavy lifting, etc. Half true, because, again, not all sources of carbohydrates in our body are good to us. Why? They are types of food that instead of making us healthy, they do make us ill in the long run. Example of bad source of cabohydrates are processed foods (cancer cells powerhouse), white bread, pasta, cakes, chocolates, sweets, pastries, etc.


So what should we do then to have a healthy body?

Avoid bad sources of carbohydrates. Eat only the good ones. But do eat in moderation because everything in excess is a capital sin. Gluttony is a capital sin. Discipline yourself. Eat on time and in moderation. Always eat non processed food or organic carbohydrates only. Drink a lots of water everyday because water helps carbohydrates in performing its main function. Don't forget to eat green leafy vegetables, fruits and white meat (non processed)also. If you do this everyday, mark my words, you will loose weight, feel young and healthy as ever before.


But what can I do if i wanted to eat pizza, pasta, chocolate or cakes? Especially when i am craving?

Well that's not hard to do. You may eat those kind of foods but do remember to eat foods (as mentioned) that are made from organic ingredients only, not processed one. Why? It due to a proven fact that organic foods are great source of fiber and carbohydrates. So eat pizzas or pasta that are made from wheat bread. Pasta that uses sauce made from soya based ingreadients or goats milk or sauce produced from olive oil and garlic. Chocolates that has more cocoa content than milk and sugar. Cakes that are made from fruits and organic ingredients like carrot cake, etc.


Give me at least five example of menu of foods that are not bad to our body?

1. Tuna Pasta for the Healthy Heart (cooked in garlic sauteed in olive oil)

2. Spicy Tuna (white meat) flakes sauteed in red onions.

3. Tuna Spice Flakes in Wheat Boat Pandesal.

4. Garden Salads dressed with Limed-Strawberry Yogurt

5. Grilled or Fried Eggplant in Olive Oil. (simplest of all)
