The missing link in an orange

The colorful orange has just about it all in it's little life, except for just one little thing in this big world. The orange is a great way to wake up to the world every morning and start your day off right. The orange provides a very good refreshing drink when you are thirsty. The orange fills you up when you are hungry. The orange provides most all of the necessary daily vitamins that your body needs for the day. The orange has been developed into a hand cleaner to clean up the messiest of all messes that we get into. The orange provides a wonderful aroma in the air which is a pleasure to smell. The orange is a great food additive for all kinds of foods, and it is even an ingredient in beer today. The orange comes in many various varieties , and you can even get an orange today in a seedless form. I could go on and on for sometime about just how much there really is to the simple little orange. However there is one thing missing that most other words have no problem finding, and that is that no one has been able to find a single word in the English dictionary that rhymes with the word orange. From Edgar Allen Poe to the great Dr. Seuss, the word orange has been void in poetry around the world. Now if you can think of a word that rhymes with orange, don't be shy and please let us know on this hub what you came up with. But please don't strain your brain trying!

What words do you know that rhymes with the word orange? 36 comments

I can only think of false rhymes, but those don't count. Do they? Will you accept porridge? Storage? Flooring? How about flooring for your orange porridge storage? No? Ok, you're right. Those were completely unacceptable and I shouldn't have tried to slide them past you. How about an Australian pronunciation of the word "strange"? Oh, well. I had to try.

Ooooh so clever. Now I may obsess about this. I think I will have to travel overseas and look for a foreign word that rhymes.

Great to meet you by the way. Love the hub and the photos. Fun and rated up. I'll follow now! Yay!

I won't even try, having tried before, though I knew a girl named Angie, whom I was crazy about, and I often wanted "more Ang."

One day as I started my repast,

I started a little too fast.

I grabbed a beautiful orange orange.

But did not see the orange syringe.

Alas - it's the best I could do!

I'll not eat an orange with an orange syringe, how about you?

I think melange (mixture of things) would (could?) work? Orange and melange are of French origin, this is why they don't find many rhymes in English :) Great hub, I love your idea! Thanks.
