You also need a food processor and with it you can make some of the best biscuits that you will ever get a chance to eat.

This recipe is not hard at all and with it you can make a cheddar cheese biscuit that who ever tastes it will want more. They really are addictive. When you purchase your cheese buy a pound block of cheese and grate your cheese. Don't buy cheese that is already grated. This is very important so that your Cheddar Cheese Biscuits will have the best flavor possible.
Another thing here I want to discuss is how very important it is to be sure that your oven is at the right temperature. For these biscuits the oven needs to be at 450 degrees and you need to make sure with the use of a heavy duty oven thermometer hanging in the center of the oven that the temperature in your oven is at 450 degrees for these biscuits. With that said lets get ready to make the World Famous Cheddar Cheese Biscuits.
For Your Shopping List You Will Need
1. Baking Powder
2. Regular White Granulated Sugar.
3. Vegetable Oil Cooking Spray.
4. All Purpose Plain Flour.
5. A Box Of Ground Sea Salt ( Found where the regular salt is )
6. Vegetable Shortening.
7. Unsalted Butter.
8. A Block Of Cheddar Cheese.
9. Half A Gallon Of Buttermilk.
10. Small Jar Of Minced Garlic.
11. Fresh Parseley
12. One Dozen Large Eggs.
If you already have some of the items don't worry about buying more just use what you already have. But make sure that your baking powder is fresh or it won't work properly.
You will want to start by making sure you have a baking rack in the upper part of your oven and pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees. If your going to make biscuits on a regular basis purchase one of the new heavy duty but thin baking sheets. You don't want a thick one because the biscuits will not bake properly. When you get ready to make these biscuits spray your baking sheet with a thin coating of vegetable cooking spray.
You will want to get out your food processor.
For Your World Famous Cheddar Cheese Biscuits You Will Need.
1. Three Fourths Cup Buttermilk.
2. One And One Fourth Cups Fresh Grated Cheddar Cheese.
3. Four Tablespoons Unsalted Butter Cut Into Pea Size Pieces.
4. Three Tablespoons Vegetable Shortening At Room Temperature.
5. One Level Teaspoon Ground Sea Salt.
6. Two And One Half Teaspoons White Granulated Sugar.
7. One Tablespoon plus 2 Teaspoons Fresh Baking Powder.
8. One And Three Fourths Cups Of Plain All Purpose Flour.
9. Vegetable Cooking Spray.
To make your Garlic Butter you will need.
1. Four Tablespoons Melted Unsalted Butter.
2. One Tablespoon Minced Fresh Garlic.
3. One Teaspoon Finely Diced Fresh Parsley.
Make your garlic butter in your food processor or a blender. Put the ingredients in and pulse to mix very well. Be sure to wash and dry your food processor well before you continue with the recipe. Put your garlic butter aside in a small bowl or measuring cup.
To your food processor add your fresh baking powder , flour , sugar and salt and let it mix up very well together. Now add your shortening and mix until very well mixed together. Now add the butter and mix until the butter mixes in but you can still see some of it. Add your cheese and milk and mix together until you have a loose dough.
Turn your dough out onto a clean floured surface and knead until the dough comes together but do not over work your dough or your biscuits will not turn out right.
Now you want to use a one fourth cup measuring cup and flour it well. Use it to scoop up one fourth cup of the dough at a time and drop onto your baking sheet two inches apart and bake until your biscuits are golden brown. As soon as your biscuits come out of the oven brush them with the garlic butter and get ready to enjoy the world famous cheddar biscuits.

Simple Cheddar Cheese Biscuits

1. One Half Cup Grated Cheddar Cheese.
2. Two Thirds Cup Of Whole Milk.
3. Two Cups Bisquick Baking Mix.
4. One Fourth Cup Unsalted Butter Melted.
5. One Level Teaspoon Powdered Garlic.
You will want to get started by heating your oven to 450 degrees. Now in your food processor mix together your Bisquick Baking Mix , Milk and Cheese and mix well until a dough is formed. Spray your baking sheet lightly with the vegetable cooking spray and then drop the dough by the large spoonful onto the baking sheet about two inches apart. Bake until they are golden brown and brush them with your garlic butter once they come out of the oven.
Put your melted butter and garlic powder in a small pot and heat well. Remove from heat and brush your cheddar cheese biscuits with the garlic butter when they come out of the oven. These biscuits are wonderful and go well with almost anything.
