Here are a few thoughts of mine after reading your question:
Overeating (anything) is not healthful so it's no surprise that your body may be telling you it's uncomfortable. Likewise, Saltines are basically white, processed flour with sodium; as familiar and tasty as they may be, they aren't health-promoting like whole grains or less refined foods with less salt. And like 'duffsmom' said, you may be feeling off and regretful because of an episode of emotional eating. It's definitely worthwhile to take a step back and reflect on how you were or have been feeling before filling up on the crackers and hummus. You may have underlying needs and concerns that aren't being addressed thoroughly. I share from personal experience and know that it pays to look inside yourself or get help since food is not the answer.
