Gurnard is a type of sea fish, of many different potential types. It is inexpensive to buy and deemed to be sustainable. I have tried quite a few times to cook it. I've tried baking it, frying it, steaming it and poaching it. Last night, I tried it in a fish pie. Most people seem to say that gurnard has little taste. I disagree. I think it has a reasonably strong taste, which I am starting to have to reluctantly accept I perhaps just don't like. This is a new experience for me, as I have never before tasted a type of fish or seafood I don't like... Thanks!
