I salt the water to boil the pasta, season the meat, and I will get a jar/can of the cheapest store brand sauce and kick it up a few notches!
I will NEVER eat plain ground beef... ewww.
Quick fix > season ground beef with pepper, salt, garlic powder, and a little bit of red pepper spice such as cayenne, chili powder, paprika, red pepper flakes or some good hot sauce like tapatio or chulula. And something green, like parsley or oregano. I also find that if I add a small bit of hard cheese it ads some great depth to the meat.
and right as the meat is done, i will add a little bit of store bought salsa.
