It depends what I'm in the mood for. During the week it's normally savory and on the weekend it's sweet.

Savory but sometimes sweet is more convenient!  I'd love to make scrambled eggs, frittata but when I'm on the go grabbing a banana loaf, or blueberry muffin is faster.

I prefer savory breakfast consisting of red rice or pink rice, green or purple vegetables and fruits. A sweet breakfast disturbs blood sugar that it may initiate diabetes 2 or hypoglycemia. That is if it consists of glucose sugars. Fructose, like honey or coconut sugar, are preferable as they do not cause spike in blood sugar. Scrambled eggs had their fats turned into bad cholesterol because of oxidation. Egg pouched hard or softboiled without cracking the eggshell does not oxidize the fats into bad cholesterol which is bad for blood pressure and the heart.

I would say sweet because every morning I have to have my coffee and most mornings I have a delicious sweet cinnamon on the side.

Savory. I like sweets late at night. Unless you count my 60 grams of sugar enrgy drinks that I slam before work...now that I think about it, sugar is what I usually crave in the am. Sugar and caffeine.

It really depends what I am craving for when its time for breakfast. I like both sweet and savory dishes.

Sweet, sweet, sweet!  I have an incurable sweet tooth.  I grew up with sweet breakfast, whether it was cereal, pancakes, Danish pastries or even just cinnamon toast.
I don't like the taste of 'savory' or spicy, at all the first thing in the morning.  Those are lunch and dinner foods, in my book--and yes, we often will have scrambled or fried eggs and hash browns for dinner.

I would say savory, I usually have eggs or oatmeal (very little sugar- sometimes none). I do like sweets later in the day.

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day. Whether I eat sweet or savory things depends solely on my mood. Some days I wake up eager for a pastry and other days I want eggs with jalapenos. I just try to keep both sweet and savory things on hand so I don't have to run to the store in the mornings!

I prefer hearty savory breakfasts with the eggs, meat, grits, bread, and fresh fruit.

I definitely prefer a savory meal over a sweet treat. .As another hubber said, sweet is convenient but it just doesn't hold me over until lunch time.  I usually eat some form of egg/breakfast burrito in the morning.

Savory dishes. It is good to have some protein in the morning.  In particular, I like eggs and may have some meats.  I try to stay away from too much sugar, and away from gluten, and away from dairy.  I do not eat cereal nor bread.  So no muffin, croissants, etc.  No milk nor yogurt either.

If you are curious, why I eat this way (which is quite different from the average), feel free to send me direct mail and I'll send you back some references.  Some of the reasons are explained in some of the Hubs that I write.

I can't think of anything interesting to say, just like the others here, but I am compelled to write something about myself.

Both.  French Toast and crepes are the best!  At the same time, you can't beat a scrumptious mushroom and spinach omelet.

Savory dishes are my favorite.  Sweet early in the morning tend to make me crave sweets the rest of the day.  I love eggs and oatmeal the best.

Definitely sweet. I always load up my breakfast with fruits, jams, sweetener, juices, and honey. It wakes me up so that I an start my day. I prefer eating savory foods at night, when I can take the time to enjoy and actually savor them!
