This doesn't have a crust so probably no baking; but has such a fantastic flavor!
Yet, it is baked when you bake the TV dinner. The flavors of the cinnamon, nutmeg and clove will blend in better with the apples if baked. It could also just be heated in a saucepan after mixing in the flavors.
Oh, OK I just microwave. Will try that; thanks!
That's great, Phyllis. That is probably the key, the cinnamon added to the pie filling. You have to bake it or microwave it, just like with the H M dinners, I would think?
It is the best and easiest way I can think of, Faith. And I am sure it would work fine in the microwave.
There is definitely something special about these apple though and it is not cinn or nutmeg; just thought someone might know what. Will try to find time to google it and look today and will let you know. Maybe it is simply the type apple.

MizB that just sounds like it tastes! I bet that is it; thanks! I will go look it up to find as close to it as I can get. I could eat only that for dessert forever it is sooo good!
this isn't a very cost effective way. I would Google it wouldn't surprise me if someone hasn't copied this recipe at home
Yes I should google...they should can it and sell; yum it is so good I would never need another dessert. Thanks
Heehee! I was joking! Clearly, the way to make this is to find good texture, sweet apples, cube them, then boil them slowly with honey, sugar, cinnamon, and a dash of cardamom and salt. Keep a lid on to trap the moisture and flavor.
