    Do you enjoy Indian curries?

I am interested to know if you enjoy Indian cuisines. Some people don't like spicy foods but what do you think of Indian foods?

Love Indian Cuisine, definitely near the top of my list when it comes to eating out or at home.

Sally Gulbrandsen thank you. Spicy foods are not for everyone but you make me see that it is  worth eating.

I could eat Indian curry sauce for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They make them at our local Indian take aways and I love them. They are almost impossible to recreate. My own attempts are not even close. I like a lot of Indian dishes, so much so that we always have a Indian take away feast every christmas eve.

Billy Turnock, I  like how you described Indian foods. I in Croatia and no spicy here  but I have a new plan to have my own eating place soon to cater for tourists. '' My own attempts are not even close.''  Thank you for sharing your experience.

Yes. Even the worst Indian chef in Europe, if he was to deliberately make the worst curry in his life, it would still be better than my best curry. It's easier to let them make it for me. Good luck with your endevours.

Your answer is my best one. To make a curry you got to have a skill and be born into that specific culture. Thank you for that direct answer.

    Spicy, Devika.

But then so are we from the Caribbean, and we get some similar problems: Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and Heart problems. So sorry, I don't wish to scare you, just that perhaps some of our diet needs looking into. The Ayuveda expert, though, swears by Ghee.

I have been a vegetarian for 33 years and lived in Southall for about 8 years, so I'm used to it. Still, I prefer it milder. I find that the food in the Gurdwara or Temple are not usually too bad. The packeted stuff can be very hot.

Yes, I do enjoy Indian cuisine, but then so do my fellow practitioners of Yoga philosophy, Europeans in the West

manatita44 thank you for sharing your opinion and do agree with you. In limit I am sure there will be no  such health issues.

Well my wife and I just love to eat Thai and Indian cuisine. We toss a coin to see which one for a night out. We are a half Vietnamese home so that is the base of our thoughts of different foods.
Coriander, cumin, and turmeric and curry powder. And then the red or yellow attachments. And then what meat or tofu type stuff you use. Wow just talking about makes me hungry. That is ok because I am cooking some chicken and spiced it with turmeric and curry powder.
I suppose you could say we enjoy curries but that seems a little light - we love it!

Hi Ericdierker, thank you for sharing that. Spicy foods are good and in limit. Nice to know what you think of spicy foods.

I could drink Indian curry and be happy. I really like it a lot - the spicier the better. When my husband and I go to restaurants we ask for the curry to be spicy. The waiters try to warn us about our choice (thinking we can't handle it) but we end up eating it hot and spicy, enjoying every bite.

How fun Marlene - my wife loves to watch me sweat -- I love the 1 to 10 ordering style.
I like that guy who can drink it. Food is such a blessing from our creator.

Eric, I have never actually lifted the bowl to drink it, but I could. I saw a lady give her little baby a bowl spiced to the level of "7" with some rice in it. I just about fell over when the baby ate it like it was no big deal.

Marlene Bertrand you are courageous for the spicy meals. Most won't even try. Thank you.

My boy is just getting to the point of loving the spice. How fun to go through the progression with him. I think I a glad with a 5 wink

Strangely, my experience leads me to disagree with everyone. I absolutely love curry and make my own often. One local Chinese restaurant also makes a beautiful curry. However, I have eaten curry from three different Indian restaurants and didn't enjoy any of them. It was the texture I particularly didn't enjoy. I like a smooth curry and these had a grainy texture and overpowering flavour. I know there are many different Indian curries and perhaps my selection wasn't good. I do wish you well in setting up you own eating place for tourists in Croatia, however.

Thank you John Hansen! Don't know which kind of curry you had to have made you feel that way. I have ideas in preparing spicy foods and many tourists have tried and enjoyed it.

Yes I love a medium curry that is not fiercely hot!
