Chili Spiced Brown Sugar Ribs

HAVE you ever had a taste for some but did not know what is, if you did you can understand what I am talking about. I wanted some ribs but the flavor I wanted was a bold spicy taste but a deep sweetness to blend with the spicy but I did not want it to be a sweet and sour blend I wanted bold spicy and sweet boldness in each bite and I also want it to be ribs that need no sauce

After mixing around with different kind of spices I can up with just the right dry rub that will not only make you think that they were slathered in sauce but also gives you that spicy bold sugar sweetness I was trying to achieve and here it is my Chili Spiced Brown Sugar Ribs that I want you to try.

Chili Spiced Brown Sugar Ribs

Ingredients

The Rub

1 cup of packed light brown sugar

1 tablespoon Mexican chili powder

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon sea salt

1 teaspoon freshly smoked black pepper

2 racks spareribs, about 2 to 3 pounds each pounds

2 cups of concentrated apple juice with a spray bottle

Methods

Since it is warmer outside let’s get out the smoker and set it up your electric smoker for smoking and have that smoker temperature cooking around 225 to 250 degrees, at this point using a glass bowl grab all your spices and mix together. Grab out your ribs and trim them and remove the membrane that’s on the bone side of the ribs.

Take the ribs and add a quarter of the seasoning rub and rub in very well spray them well with the apple juice then wrap them in plastic wrap and let them marinate in your refrigerator for 45 minutes to 1 hour after 1 of marinating remove the ribs from the refrigerator remove the plastic add another quarter of the spice rub then spray on some more apple juice and then wrap the ribs in plastic wrap and foil the place it the smoker on the wire rack and let them smoke for 2 hours..

After smoking for 2 hours remove the ribs and remove the wrapping spray the ribs with the apple juice and sprinkle with the spice rub place back in the smoker for another 4 hours making sure you spray the apple juice and sprinkle the spice rub every hour your smoking these ribs total cooking time should be 5 to 6 hours but start checking in about the 5th hour ad to make sure they are tender just take a tooth pick and insert it into the ribs if she goes in smooth your ribs are done if you have to push it in you have some more cooking to do but when they are done remove from the smoker and let them sit a few minutes the cut and serve and enjoy.
