A recipe for Cheesy bean loaf
I have made this a few times in the past, every one has heard of beans and cheese with a jacket potatoe, and served hot that is sort of all it is, but served cold it makes a change from meat loaf with salad.
Get yourself a nice packet of Sage and onion stuffing, 8 oz or 227 grams. Make it up with 8oz, 225ml of boiling water.
Mix it into a 15oz,450g can of beans in tomato sauce.
Add one beaten egg and 2 tablespoons of cream or top of the milk.
At this point a small amount of chopped nuts can be added,30z,75g.
My family have decided they don't really like nuts in food. And If my son eats too many it makes him really ill, something to think about if sharing with others!
Put the mixture in a greased loaf tin and smoothing the top cover with tin foil.
Bake for 45 minutes at gas mark 5,375* F or190*C.
It may not be easy but turn the loaf out! Cover in grated cheese and tomato slices, Put back in oven for about 8 minutes.
