Cream of Tartar

    Do you personally use Cream of Tartar for anything other than baking Snickerdoodle cookies?

      When I'm whipping cream or egg whites I add some. It stabilizes the beaten product and the peaks stiffen a lot sooner, I find.

    I also add some while whipping  egg whites .

    I use cream of tartar when baking chiffon cake, when I have to stiffen the egg whites first before adding it to the dough.
