My wife makes the most amazing caramel custard. Here is the recipe if anybody wants to try it for themselves.1 First you have to burn some sugar and you do this by adding water in a pan and then adding the sugar and you leave it there until the sugar starts to caramalize. 2 in a blender you add a can of condenesd milk and carnation milk and about 4-6 eggs and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. blend for about 1 minute. 3 you add the sugar to the mold and then add the rest of the ingrients and set the oven to 300 for about 45 minutes.By Anii
Mmmmm ....But doesn't the sugar in the caramel AND the condensed milk AND the carnation milk make it very (too?) sweet?
I thought carnation milk IS condensed milk?
You're right! Carnation is the brand name, isn't it? I think I was thinking of *evaporated* milk.Oh, those childhood memories.
