      Personally, I have no idea what horseradish syrup is. And I can't imagine for the life of me why someone would EAT cheese CLOTH whether they'd boiled it or not...LOL

    I say eat the cheesecloth. It would probably taste just as good as horseradish syrup.

    It might depend upon whether the syrup is sweetened-- it would have to be, wouldn't it?

    Christmas dinner...

    when I was young, my grandfather always put horseradish on the ham. I couldn't take the heat then but now I love it and it always makes me think of Grampa Archie.
