This is the first time iv been in the forum. I need help my chickens are laying sooo many eggs and I could do with some new ideas of how to use them! I have pickled, quiched, baked! Iv even made a batch of lemon curd!
Any ideas would save my poor boyfriend from eating more of the same!!
Find a neighbor with a vegetable garden and trade.
We're having the same 'problem'. Lots of cake, Spanish tortilla, eggs poached in spicy tomato sauces, more cake, lemon meringe pie. egg curry and very happy dogs eating what we don't get through!
hi welcome. Either donate or sell. First for humanity second for prosperity. Choosing left to you.
Send me some of your chickens. Mine are a bunch of pikers. They only seem to lay when either American Idol's on or Survivor. We're fixing to forget eggs and start eating chicken!
Goodness Emily..you're missing a 'golden' opportunity. Why on earth don't you sell the excess eggs. Nearly everybody consumes eggs. You could sell yours for a premium, since (I'm guessing) they're farm-raised and fed with natural grains, and not full of artificial hormones.
Go for it!
[or you could frighten the chickens by posting a picture of a wolf in the hen coop, at least it would temporarily upset their routine]
I have a veg garden too but a genius idea!
I like the wolf idea im not sure my girls would though!!
I wish I could sell them but we live in the middle of nowhere with little to no passing traffic, 'golden' oppotunity ha ha
Egg curry, that is something iv never tried, our dog Colin is also a fan of eggs, its great for their coats too.

Filling a pot with water, putting eggs in it, having it reach a boil for 5 minutes, drenching the eggs with cold water afterwards. All of that is sooo much work. So, I would like to see a consensus as to how long to...
