You do know that since today is July 11, or 7-11, they are celebrating by allowing everyone to come to their stores and get a free slurpee right?

I'm pretty sure that they're the same as our 'Slush Puppies' (more or less).

Although they never really achieved the same level of popularity over here.

Totally different, but we have Slush Puppies also.

          Ah, OK, what's the difference?

I haven't had a Slurpee but they seem to be defined as 'A drink made of small ice crystals flavored with syrup'.  Which sounds very much like a Slush Puppie.

I'll have to try one next time I'm in Thailand, they seem to have a 7-11 every 100 meters or so.

Slush puppies have bigger chunks of ice and crunchy.  A Slurpee is really really smooth.

Hmm.   Come to think of it, I've never had a Slurpee.  (I know what they are, though (I think) - if that counts).  smile
