I love to make desserts. My dessert of choice for this holiday was Pavlova. Had one on xmas day with cherries and flaked chocolate, and a more traditional one on Boxing Day with banana, kiwi fruit, and passionfruit. We also had a trifle on Tuesday night - which is always best eaten the next day for breakfast, so you have to make a big one The dessert I like to make to impress is profiteroles or chocolate fondant. The dessert I can never say no to in a restaurant is creme brulee (or crema catalana as posted above!)
Because I got a Persian cookbook for xmas I am going to be making Persian desserts during January. YUM
My favorites are: shortcakes or biscuits with strawberries, whipped cream and spiced red wine sauce; chocolate mousse; french macarons; eclairs; and chocolate chip cookies. I make these wonderful desserts from scratch
