I have recently found out that the essential ingredient to make a decent sauce for nice dish is a pot of single/double cream along with your favourite vegetables and herbs.What is your favourite sauce you have made using cream as the base?
Lobster/tomato/cream Over a steak

half and half, (a good substitute when you don't have cream) parmesean cheese, garlic(fresh or powdered) basil, oregano. great over pasta.
