My husband is a Hindu so I'm always on the look out for fun vegetarian dishes because I'm not that big on veggies on a whole. I hate soya chunks with a passion something about the smell usually turns me off but I got this recipe that turned out great.
1 pk Soya Chunks
3 Clove Garlic
3 Tbs Light Soy Sauce
3 Tbs Butter
2 Sm or 1 Lg Onion
1 Carrot sliced thinly
2 Sweet Pepper
Step 1: Soak Soya Chunks in Hot water.
Put enough water to cover.After 15 min drain to get out as much water as possible
Step 2: Grate a small piece of ginger and three cloves garlic combine it with 3tbs light soy sauce and stir together with a pinch of salt.
Combine with the soya chunks and mix together well. Leave for 30 mins.
Step 3: 3Tbs butter and 3tbs Olive oil into a skillet and heat.
Add soya chunks. Wait until they are golden brown before turning over.
Step 4: Remove from Skillet. Add some more Olive Oil and throw in your Onions,Carrots and Sweet Peppers and add salt to taste. Stir fry until tender and add in the soya chunks and combine well.
