Zesty BBQ Cheeseburgers‏

Today was the Monday afternoon treat day for my grandson and the treat he want was grill hamburgers but he told me that he wanted the big boy adult hamburgers that the adults not the smaller ones so I decided to make him BBQ Cheeseburgers‏ the adult versions with some zesty BBQ sauce and smoked gouda cheese and when they were ready he really love them and you will to so here Is the recipe for you to try.

BBQ Cheeseburgers‏

Ingredients

1 pound of ground chuck

1/4 cup of finely chopped red onion

4 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, split in half

4 slices of smoked Gouda

4 whole wheat hamburger buns toasted

Toppings:

Lettuce leaves, tomato and red onion slices

Methods

To begin fixing these burgers combine the ground chuck, red onions along with 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce in a large glass bowl then mix together very well. Now take the ground chuck and make four ½ inch burgers. Place patties on grill over medium heat. Grill with the lid covered for 8-10 minutes over ash-covered coals (7-9 minutes on preheated gas grill) for medium rare (145f) to medium (160f) done-ness flipping them a 1time then 1 minute before burgers are done, brush with remaining 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce and top with cheese at this point grab your toasted buns then dress your burgers with your lettuce, tomato and red onions serve and enjoy.

Sounds great! I'm definitely going to try mixing some BBQ sauce into the meat before grilling.

I'm usually not a BBQ fan, but if it's mixed in with something else, it can be super good. These sound amazing!
