Refreshing Lemon Juice and Barley Drink Recipe
How to prepare Lemon Barley Juice
Lemon and Barley drink is a favorite of mine and is a much more healthy option than just having lemon juice or barley water. Lemon is known for being rich in vitamin C whereas Barley has diuretic, digestive and coolant attributes. Combined together it is a very healthy and an easy to make and refreshing drink one can have.
Ingredients of Lemon and Barley Juice
- ½ Cup Pearl Barley
- 8 cups of Water
- Juice of 4 Lemon
- Sugar/Artificial Sweetener/Honey (Optional)
Method of Preparation
Boil 8 cups of water and add the cleaned Pearl Barley in it. Reduce the flame and allow cooking for 30 minutes. Remove from the stove and add lemon juice and sugar. Mix well and stain the liquid to another vessel. Let it cool and then place it in the refrigerator for cooling. Consume as and when required. Do not forget to stir the liquid before pouring into the glass to serve. Lemon and Barley Juice is a refreshing drink with the goodness of lemon and barley. I hope you would like it too.
