Thai Style Sukiyaki Soup

The preparation for Sukiyaki Soup was shared with me by a friend who was really good with Thai style cooking and it really took me a few times to get this recipe to taste like she made hers but after several tries I did come very close.

Thai Style Sukiyaki Soup

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of oil

1 pound of beef, thinly sliced

4 tablespoon of sugar

4 tablespoon of soy sauce

2 tablespoon of Sake

1/2 Napa cabbage, cut 2" width

2 long onions cut diagonally

1 bunch of Kikuna, cut 2" long (if you can’t find kikuna leaves you can replace them with carrot or celery)

1 package of firm tofu, cut 1" width

8 shiitake mushrooms

1 package of enoki mushrooms

1 package of itokonnyaku noodles (itokonnyaku is a long thin noodle but you can replace it with thin spaghetti noodles if you like)

Methods

Heat a pan at medium high and add oil.

To begin pan fry the beef slices in a sauté fry pan and combine sugar, soy sauce, and Sake when the color of meat has started turning combine all of the other ingredients and cook 12 to 15 minutes taste as you are cooking you m need to work on your seasonings by adding more soy sauce and or sugar but if your seasoning is to your liking remove from the heat serve an enjoy.
