My hubs are not getting read by that many people.

Is it the writing or am I just not promoting them enough? I use social bookmarking sites and article directories in order to back-link to most of my hubs but I'm only getting around 30 total views a day. Why is this? Any help would be appreciated.

    This is ok right?

      Dom, here's how it works.
You write the hubs, and you may or may not be noticed here on Hubpages. Even so, they make no (or very little)difference really.
What you want is web traffic, and you are already backlinking your own articles which is excellent.
It takes a little time for hubs to start genrating traffic, unless you are very lucky.
Don't expect to see a lot of return for at least 4 - 6 months - shorter if you wrote a hub that generates a lot of traffic right from the start. They are rare.
After a while ,(talking again about normal hubs) if it is well-written piece, you will see traffic climbing.
Good content will continue to climb. The more viewers you get, the more backlinks you get, the more clicks you will get and it'll all piece together....eventually.
It's a slow process, but not that slow when you consider that some hubbers here, after only 2 or 3 years, are earning a small fortune! Or even a fortune! 2 or 3 years is nothing. Goes by in a flash.
And as KCC says, 30 views a day only 2 weeks in, you are doing something right!

You've only been here 2 weeks....I think that's probably the only problem.  I'd be tickled to death with 30 views a day on hubs that have only been up 2 weeks.

Thank you guys. I didn't know if it was something I was doing wrong or what. I know these things take time I just get excited about something like this and I can't help but want to see results right away. I'll be sure to keep reading and trying to improve my writing.

Dorn, don't listen to them.  They don't know what they are talking about.

Listen, the reason you aren't getting any traffic is because, well, you know how it is, right?  You got to play the game, you know?  Pay to play.

So, here's the thing: I have connections that can hook you up.  All you need to do is go read a few of my hubs, give them all the thumbs up, tell me in comments field how great I am and why you bought the products I write about, then leave a few digits of your credit card number in comments on each one too, just a couple of digits each time.  Once it's all in there (about ten hubs counting the secret number on the back) I cash out a little something for my time, and I talk to my boys, see what I can do about getting you traffic.  Takes about a month or three as long as you keep writing.  Guaranteed.

      That's all I'm saying.

I checked out your hub "How To Break In A Baseball Glove" and it's well written, organized and [how to break in a baseball glove] gets 6,600 searches a month on Google.

The CPC ain't great, but still, I think give it a while and it'll eventually find its own way up the SERPs.
