As a few of you guys will remember, a little while back I posted about being suspended from one of my jobs and that I might lose it. Well the update is, I did lose it. I was dismissed with notice, so one last months pay for this month. I have no idea about the other job, they don't know what to do I think. The up side is that while being fired I was told that I had acted with integrity through out and had at no point ever acted with any malice
I choose to see this as a chance to follow an old childhood dream, to be an artist. The real bad news as far as I am concerned, is that my poor computer up and died on me
The old back up computer died, and for a short time this computer (hubbies) was threatening suicide. This one is back to full health and we are doing a good job of sharing (truly surprising! ). Even that bad news has an upside, my family are all in agreement, I need a new laptop
It will need to be stable enough to design poster size images (colossal) in photo shop. Wish me luck guys!
I have heard so many "I lost my job and it was the best thing that ever happened....." stories. I want to be one of them
I'm sure it's going to be a very good story 4 U !
you're starting with the right attitude. just see it as an opportunity and move forward.
I am stubborn when it comes to being optimistic
I always react these days to 'bad' news by looking for the up side or silver lining. It has really made a big difference to my personal mental well being, and that is big as I used to be badly depressed.
that's wonderful! there is a lot of positive energy in a healthy optimistic attitude. sometimes if my thoughts start wavering or going downhill, I get this picture in my mind of my son's dog. (we talk for our dogs.)his dog always says, 'best day ever!'
makes me smile and remember life isn't so bad even if it 'seems' like it should be!
Hey Kristen,
I lost two jobs at the same time almost two years ago, and I've never been happier. It's still a challenge, but I'm focusing on doing things that bring me happiness and fulfillment. You seem to have the right attitude, and that's always a good sign that better days are ahead. Keep your head. It will get better. Good luck with following your childhood dream.
sorry to hear you lost your job but things will look up at some point
I love your attitude so much decided to follow you...I believe the nature of life pushes us out of what we don't need and into what we do. I am an artist and have a lot of friends who are artists visual, performing, etc. Focus, focus, focus your talent will bring you the means you need to maintain and increase in life, wealth, love and giving.

Today is December 3rd and today would have been the 9th birthday of my son whom passed away six years ago. Every year on the day of his death (or close to it)... October 18, I do something new. This year, I joined Hub Pages for that very reason. On his birthday, I try to be more optimistic about...

When I grow up, I want to be...What was your childhood dream? Have you realized it or are you doing something totally different? Let me start, I wanted to be a doctor- then one day I see an accident scene and I changed my mind for good. Today, am an IT expert.
