I have been a member of Hubpages for 6 weeks now, and only made 32 cents through adsense - I have 18 hubs, with pretty good keywords.  Does anyone have any suggestions to increase my adsense earnings?  I am pretty new to this.

Relache knows her stuff.  However, there's one more thing to bear in mind.

In the first few weeks, most of your traffic is other Hubbers.  Hubbers don't click on ads.  Your paying traffic will come from the search engines.  While your Hubs may get indexed quickly, they take weeks or even months to get on or near the front page.

Unless you hit on a really popular topic, traffic to your Hubs will build up quite slowly.   Sign up for Analytics and watch your traffic growing - once you start getting most of your traffic from the search engines, then you'll see your Adsense income start to take off.  But that might be six or nine months from now.

If you have good keywords, what have you done to make sure that you are better than all the other people who are also competing for that keyword?

That's pretty good to start off.  I've made $2.50 in two months with 12 hubs.  Just keep writing the hubs and the money will take care of itself.  Linking to your hubs will get more traffic which may lead to more clicks.

When you create a Hub, you need to ask yourself if there's a reason if you, if you were the Hub visitor, would have a reason to click on an ad or product while visiting your Hub.  If the answer is " no,." then most likely your genuine visitors aren't either.

You'll also do better if you have more Hubs.

You have some great hubs. Sometimes it just takes a little while to get the ball rolling. You can help to recycle some of your own traffic by linking your hubs together for starters. This will also help them to build up their internal link count which will help them to rank better in search engine results. If you have a blog, be sure to promo your hubs there as well as those added links can help. Finally, make sure your hubs have some alternate revenue sources like Amazon and eBay as well. I find that some days are really low for Adsense but great for the others and vice versa. Having multiple sources gives you a better chance of having at least one that performs well on any given day.

You have engaging hubs. And I think that is what really matters for now. The next thing you should be doing is to review the hubs from time to time. make use of your analytics tool to optimize your hubs>
    Cheers!

Hi - we joined at about the same time, and I have earned about $7 on Google AdSense but I have written over 70 hubs - so like most people say, I think it is just a matter of time.
Just wanted to post two bits of advice I've been given which have been really useful.
The first was from people who had a slow start, gave up, then came back months later and found that their hubs had earnt money. Their advice was too keep writing while your oldest hubs mature, because they were kicking themselves about the time they had wasted and money they could'e made if they had stuck with it.
The 2nd bit of advice was to include an RSS feed capsule at the bottom of the page that links to your own hubs - look at
    http://hubpages.com/hub/Promote-Your-Ol … -RSS-Feeds

    I found it really useful.

    Hope that helps. Keep going.

Aside from some great advice already given, again I say never try to rush things.

As I have said in one of the questions in this forum:

Think of it this way, you are the pilot of a great big 747 and it is still on the runway waiting to taxi and then when it builds up enough power, it should be able to take off, fly and soar and even fly on cruise control or auto pilot.

Until then, we should be safe in the idea that others have done it and in the right time you will take off as well.

    Then the sky's the limit!

Continue writing, continue promoting, continue researching stuff to write about and how to promote them.

If others can do it, why not you?

The key is just be patient. I got $ 1.9 with 7 hub and just started for 5 month. Yes, I agree, its just a matter of time.
Keep writing a quality hub and let the rest take care by hubpages. Good luck for all.
