What do you folks think of this story?  The bias present in it is that it is written based on upholding the Constitution, the right for liberty and the pursuit of happiness, freedom of speech and all those types of things.  You know, the little things.  I'll weigh in with my opinion in a bit. smile

If you think they've just started banning it now, you're late to the game.

You can get that stuff out there. The one and only time I puked from one mouthful of alcohol was the time I tried home-made corn whisky.

    A bad batch apparently..... smile

LOL What about Shenandoah valley? Beautiful nature over there, and scared to death brainwashed people, as all over the USA....

Oh, Charlotte, it will get much worse before it gets better I'm afraid.

This is just one of many cases - what troubled me was that in the process of trying to convince the jury that porn is bad, they were required to view this adult material in it's entirety, in the middle of a small-town courtroom.  Other such cases have targetted top-dollar, high revenue pornographic films, and in many of these cases involvement by state and local media, federal agents is fairly common and usually results in the seed of either:

A.)  Exposure to minors of objectionable material.
    B.)  Child pornography itself.

I get the terrible feeling, and it's terrible because I work in the industry, that the only type of pornographic material the Government would like us to have would be married, Christian men and women in the missionary position.  The pornography industry would go underground, much like prohibition pushed alcohol underground.  It would also be devastating to the industry, not that the Government cares that millions of tax dollars pour in to them from sales of adult materials and goods.

"We've got to stop them from banning pornography. Once they start banning one form of literature, they will never stop. Next thing you know, they will be burning all the books!"

If Obama cannot turn the tide successfully and usher a new period in and I get wind of this country continuing to head in a certain direction, then I will leave this country as soon as I can.  I don't want to live in a country whose people are forced by the government to confess their sins until they believe 'good and moral truths' like:

    Muslims are our enemies

    Pornography is wrong

    Speaking against "God" is blasphemy

It is our duty to invade other countries and force them into "democracy" and remove Muslims from power.

Freedom from Religion does not mean freedom to not believe in "God".

Marriage cannot be civilly recognized between anything other than a Man and a Woman.

The 2nd coming of Jesus might be concluded after a Nuclear wipeout of the human species.

I don't want a government in place that promotes and enforces such things, and I think scuttling our nukes would be a moral imperative for any foreign spooks should the U.S. government start forcing people to "acknowledge" the "legitimacy" of the above ideas.  It would be a moral imperative due to the imperative called the survival of the species.

Einstein I believe was right in his estimation that the fourth world war would be fought with sticks and stones.  I don't want a "Christian" America, I want a secular Republic.  That is what our Founding Fathers established and that is what I want.  I am fine if even 95% of our countrie's citizens are Christians, but I DON'T want a "Christian America".

    Zarm,

I'm startled by how bitter you feel about the United States...guess what...no one is stopping you from leaving now!

Radical Muslims who hate Western Culture are in fact our enemies-and should be crushed.  Do you know what children in Saudi Arabia are taught about American and Western Society in schools...the secular, tolerant societies that you praise?  Do some research.  Somehow I doubt Saudia Arabia will not be on the top of your list when decide to leave this country.

Pornography:  Freedom of Speech, as intended by those who created our Constitution, means Freedom of Political Speech.  All speech is not created equal, nor does all speech get the same degree of constitutional protection.  State gov'ts among other things were instituted to protect the "health, safety and morals" of its citizens pursuant to its police power.  That's why pornography cannot be displayed in kindergarten classes.

Speaking Against God:  Last time I checked, no one is stopping anyone from speaking against God...in fact, if you were to give a rant in Union Square in NYC, you'd draw quite a crowd.  To be sure, speaking against God is not blaphemy among your muslim friends, right?

Freedom of Religion means that the gov't does not impose any particular religion on the people; however, the Founding Fathers did NOT intend freedom of religion to mean a society DEVOID of religion...just freedom to practice as your religion, or the lack thereof, as you please.  You should try reading some of the speeches of Washington or Lincoln--they never mention God once.....right? Right...

NO ONE IS BANNING PORNO!  We are not in Saudia Arabia.

I believe that it is only happening in some parts of our country but have no fear , porno is still here and it isn't going anywhere. smile

Yeah, sure. On both accounts - job security is higher, cause there is a huge demand and it will probably grow, and personal security, too - it is much more likely HS will be shooting at porno guys, not vice versa smile
