What did you guys think? I thought the first goal by South Africa was stunning, very fitting. The games were sloppy though, it seems nobody could get much of a handle on the ball.
That first group is up in the air now, pretty much any one of them have a decent chance of passing through.
does it really matter who comes out of that group when Greece is going to win it all??
Of course not! These groups are of no importance, they're only mere details.
I'm surprised though, are you sure the Leafs aren't gonna take this one?? Granted it's a different sport... but common! They're the Leafs
I guess you will be hanging out on Danforth this weekend?
South Africa's goal was very good. Shame they didnt win really, I don't want France to go through. The Uruguay/France game was a little dull, well, very dull.
Looking forward to England's game tomoro though, typically I feel really ill and I'm supposed to be going out to watch the game.
Fairly disappointing first day I suppose. 2 goals and no wins.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
I will start watching in the quarter finals.
Yeah I don't want France to go through either. It was quite a dull game, not many clear chances were generated and too much embellishment from the players. But I guess that's bound to happen.
Sorry you feel ill, I hope the game cures that!
The game tonight (France Uruguay) was so dull I sat and wrote another hub.
poor football = higher productivity.
Busy day for me tomorrow - football, football, Canadian F1 quali, then England match - yey - now how to get the kids to amuse themselves for nearly 6 hours
Not at all interested in football - the next few weeks are going to be a nightmare
Me neither. I also feel rather unpatriotic but I don't want England to win. The thought of some of them being knighted is just too much!
Knighted footballers! Just what the wold needs more men in tights..England better not get anywhere near the finals.)
I don't care much for soccer but my brother and father were really excited to watch.
And they both say that so far the matches have been disappointing and boring - apart from a few key moments, it's as if the players don't want to win. They both have managed to fall asleep in at least one of the matches.
So if they (especially my brother who I've seen watch football games and reruns and highlights of other leagues for hours and hours on end, so if he) find the matches excruciatingly boring, that's not a good start.
And god those annoying trumpets don't help >.> I may not watch but I am in the room and OMG.

What can you say about the World Cup?I'm not an avid fan of football but I don't have any problem about watching a good game while drinking some cold beer. My only issue about the current World Cup, is the host, Brazil. I did some research and found out that their government is spending way...
