Acne Treatment

   I hope you can help!!  I am going to be 44 in lest than 2 months. I still find that I have acne.  I thought that I would be over this by now, but I guess I am not.  Bring on the treatment, and don't suggest 'Proactive', that does not work for me.

      Phototherapy.  I use the red light therapy for anti-aging but there is a blue light version for acne and it really works. 
      
      In fact, I recently bought a home version and when I was looking for the best deal, I almost bought a second-hand Omnilux.  The seller had bought it to get rid of her acne before her wedding.  It had worked, so she was now selling it.
      
      I pointed out to her that it's not a permanent cure and to make sure the acne never comes back, she should hang on to the Omnilux and give herself a once-a-month booster.  That's enough to keep it under control.
      
      Basically it's a blue light which kills all the bacteria and strengthens the skin.  You can either do it at the salon or at home.  You may not see results until the third or fourth treatment and you really need 6 or 8 treatments over six weeks to see results.  Not cheap but worth it and think of all the money you'll save on creams.

   Wow... How did you know that I was here w-w-w-w-w-orrying and w-w-w-w-w-orrying about my ac-ac-ac-ac-ac---- zits
   Having ac-ac-ac-..you know... zits, has changed my life.
   
   I had to become a writer because my ac-ac-ac-ac-Ohhh you know.. Zits. 
   I used to work at McDonalds but I got sacked from my front counter job, because customers had complained that I was a Health Hazard because of my ac-ac-ac-ac-aggghhh Zits!
   
   So my boss made me wear a latex glove over the affected area and as a result I got breathing problems....
   until I t-t-t-t-t-ook the glove off

   Cold water. Try washing your face with cold water. Moisturizer helps out but be careful with what you use. Test it out first by dabbing some on your neck. If in 24 hours it's good with no irritation or break out, go for it. You might want to try this: http://www.philamfood.com/ESKINOL-CUCUMBER-7.6OZ.html. You can clean your face with this and then moisturize. Another cleanser that worked for me was the Clearasil skin perfecting wash.

      I used to have really bad acne, and I tried having peels, microdermabrasion, dermasound, phototherapy, Murad skincare, Proactive, mineral makeup, prescription antibiotics (both topical and internal), eliminating wheat from my diet for a several weeks ... I could go on with the list.  The prescription antibiotics worked pretty well, but I didn't want to be on them all the time and they can cause really serious birth defects, so I quit taking them one month before I got married.  My acne returned with a vengeance a couple days after I got to Hawaii for my honeymoon.
