Wear whatever the hell you like ,personally I dont care.
I mostly concern myself with how I look ( obviously ,some days ,I should care more) lol but to be honest when a women is younger ,she probably cared way too much ,what others thought (IMO) so now youre older ,clocks ticking so relax and just let it all hang out lol

Look on the bright side, when youre dead an gone , most people wont remember how you dressed ,but how you treated them or other people.

Just my opinion, Im off to accessorise smile

LEHENGA CHOLI especially of utsav in hindi or festival in english - collections.. when and even if its a designer saree- or designer saree-blouse collection.

lehenga choli - looks hot on young women yes.

and yes, gown, and slip dress - for western attire and for eastern - a saree would gell well

but kimono or sarong on older women may look odd, unless of course we are talking sophia loren

    cheers

What you should or shouldn't wear depends more on what you look like than how old you are. Of course, dressing like a teenager doesn't suit anyone of over 25, which is something most people know instincitively. We need to pay more attention to elegance and tastefulness as we age. Very important, too, is that older women (and men) always look up to date. People wearing clothes from a previous decade look as though they've got stuck somewhere in the past.

Who cares.  What people were is their own choice.  I am sure older people aren't thrilled with what some kids wear either.

I think I'll show this to my mother. I've been telling her for years, but she won't believe me.

Sometimes I try to tell myself I want to look like an old dire sour puss and scare everybody.
No Way can I pull that off! Not to brag, but I still shop in the Jr. Section!
I like whatever is trendy especially if its a 60's throw back look.  I still love short skirts…  But, thats where I have to go against my innate fashion instincts. When I look in the mirror, that short skirt just somehow doesn't look right! I can't put my finger on it! Its definitely not fair. sad

          FLAUNT
          flaunt verb
show off, display ostentatiously, make a (great) show of, put on show/display, parade; brag about, crow about, vaunt; flash.

Now-a-days I wear leggings, boots and form fitting dresses which are usually ever so slightly too short ..   so .. do I flaunt? no .. I love the form of the human body when it is in good shape. I know a 70 year old guy who wears his leathers and looks quite good as he pulls up to the gym on his Harley. (He needs his looks for his type of work.) If he did not work out at the gym he would not have muscular arms, a straight back, flat stomach, etc. It's not about the clothes. believe me. Its the work that goes into creating a form that is too sexy for clothes, but hey, ya gotta wear 'em ...  lol

An outdated, resigned attitude.  Just because one is so-called old, don't become old.  Always remain youthful in appearance & attitude.  You still have a lot to conquer.  You are still ALIVE!  ACT LIKE IT!  Age is merely a number, no more, no less.  I am about to recycle and revitalize this thread.  I am thinking proverbially green now!

Want to add: older women should NEVER wear:
      granny dresses
      orthopedic like shoes
polyester pull on pants(ugh, I HATE those)
      loud flowery blouses
      granny glasses
blue hair............ or anything that shouts, "OLD, OLD, OLD, OOOOOLLLLLLDDDDD!"

      Nothing says OLD like this...........

you can wear knee socks: just as long as you keep them out of sight under pants. Knee socks with miniskirts are adorable on teen girls and children, sad on real women. Instead.

I have found that as I have aged, less is more in make-up and jewelry.  I follow trends much less and spend more on good accessories.  Classic clothing works with a few updates each season.  Most women, including myself, don't have attractive knees and elbows as they age, but it doesn't seem to deter them from tank tops and minis.
