Always a brides maid - never a bride - that is how I feel with my Hub Score under 90.

The magic to the above 90 must be the backlinks.

Someone mentioned automatic content to YouTube - don't understand this.  Looking at Onlywire - worthwhile?

Need suggestions.  I have a number of exercise Hubs that I plan on publishing but want a higher score first - where should I put my efforts?

No, it isn't back links.  I hover 93-95 and other than Twitter and FB, I  do no promotion.

Can't tell you what it is, but it probably isn't links.

I'm on 93 today, though it was 95 the other day.  I don't have any back links because although everyone keeps talking about them, I just haven't yet worked it out.  Plus I don't hae many followers, but you do.  Cagsil is on 87 and I just read in another forum in response to someones question about whether he lives in hub pages that he doesn't but he spends a lot of time because he enjoys it and it makes him money.  I don't think you should get stuck on the number unless this really matters to you.

I don't do Twitter or Facebook or back links, so while those may be involved in some people getting above 90, it's not the only way.

And if there was any doubt, I'd say relache's post should put it to rest.

I haven't read everything relache has written, but what I have demands superlatives.  It's cream, and cream floats.

I think it may be as simple as that.

And what happens when you hit 90?  You don't magically get more traffic.

If you have something you want to write, just put it up there.  A 89 hubscore won't mean it does better or worse than 90.  They're completely irrelevent numbers.  The only ones that matter are 75 and 100.

At 75, you can safely use Hubpages as a backlink tool for your other websites. At 100, you'll get some extra views by occasionally being featured on the front page and you'll get some followers who see your number and want to hitch onto the gravy train.

    Nothing else matters. At all.

Here are a few things you may want to try if you haven't done so already.
Participate in forums, comment on the hubs of others, and do some Hub Karma, it is really easy and great for getting more traffic.
You may also want to do the Hub Mob or one of the contests. Back linking helps and so does tweeting, but participation can help you get into the 90's more than anything. Just hang in there it takes a while for some of us.

H'mmm ... how 'bout none of the above?

I don't have a huge readership or a lot of Hubs. I don't go on the Forums all that much, and I don't pay a whole lot of mind to keywords, backlinking, or anything like that. Just recently started adding karmic links. Maybe a little commenting every so often, when a Hub really piques my interest.

I do a teaser in my blog, and that feeds into Twitter, and that's about all the promotion I do.

    I just write.

Published all of six Hubs since I started up again after a nearly 2-year absence.

Right now: 41 Followers, 31 Hubs

Apparently I'm doing all the wrong things, but my Hub score holds up well. You tell me!

I'll be happy to tell you.

You write well.  It's as simple as that.
