Perhaps at this juncture, having listened and vented at many believing and non, the issue of this entire argument comes down to this. A marvelous effigy that might once and for all, lay to rest this 200 year battle of: The Word versus The Bible.

    a. It has been argued that the bible -a collection of Torah, four documentaries and many correspondences between the 'churches' has or is the ultimate reference guide and ultimate authority on all matters pertaining to a humans connection to Creator.

    b. According to two scripts from that collective, I approach this discussion:

    Deuteronomy 30:11-14
You must read the entire passage first, in full context to understand what it says. The keyword in there is: it is NOT a mystery to you.

It states the entire point of the word and its purpose, affirmed here: II Corinthians 6:2

It is affirmed in the correspondence to the Romans -the hub of all religion and politics at the time: Romans 10:6-10

Interesting enough, the text states in John's correspondence that the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. Thus negating the fallibility and absolution of the book called Bible.

So, with these affirmations from 6000 years and running through 2000 years, it is firmly visible that the book has little if anything to do with a believers life. Yet for the life of me, I keep hearing about the word, which -even this past Sunday- was emphatically stated as being only the bible. It seems this is the root of what limits believers everywhere, that veil, like the Hebrews had over their eyes and hearts when they put Torah in the highest place as well.

    Your thoughts?
