      Miniature or toy Poodle,is my favorite,they different,a bit expensive to groom them once every two months,I can do it myself and I save like $50-$60 maybe more.I love my Princess,she is a miniature Poodle,she is 8 years old,I am not vacum the hair,is not need,like after other dogs or cats.
              If you ready for an extra responsability,and up to $500 get one.

            you just haven't been around the ones that have been domesticated.....they don't bite...but they are expensive to maintain.....
            
            on a serious note - I have an amazing pic of a kayaker paddling over top of a grey whale as it is rising from the surface of the ocean...gobbling away at a school of herring .(the left coast of Canada)....anyway how do I upload it from my pc - do you know?  I can't figure it out.

   cats are the best. No trouble and they look after you really well. We had a hamster last week but they dont do a lot- even less than the cats, who are sunbathing at the moment

       I have a cat (she lives outside)
       A dog (he thinks HE owns the house)
       and a rabbit (well, I'm really just bunny sitting at the moment)
       
       But I tend to lean toward the stuffed pets too.

    Actually, maybe get a whole bunch of plants first. If they are all still alive after 90 days, then maybe get a pet.

    ...a kayaker paddling in the Pacific NW last week...that's a grey whale coming to the surface as it is gobbling up a school of herring...he lived and paddled like heck!  and someone was actually able to take the pic...amazing!

    Rats make nice pets. They are easy to take care of, and very very funny. They have huge personality, and there are many different kinds, so you can find one that is cute and appeals to you. Rats tend to be friendly, and very curious creatures. If you get a male, they tend to even be somewhat cuddly.. and the best part about them is that they can be put back into a cage and don't require CONSTANT attention.

    One that's not going to cost you lots of money, unless you have lots to spare.  Animals are generally more expensive than you think.  My advice is weigh up the pros and cons of the animals you are most interested and then whittle it down to a couple and so some research.

    I'm a huge dog fan - someone said at the beginning they had a lab puppy - they are MARVELOUS - you just have to wait until 2 years old for their brain to arrive!
    
    My personal favorite of course is the malamute - BUT do not get a malamute unless you a) have a screw less and b) you have done loads and loads of research because they are a dog you cannot treat as a dog.  You must be involved at all times not only in their care but also in their daily lives - if not, you will rue the day you got them, which is not a good thing!
    
    Of course you could go with the less maintenance route such as a goldfish - I found them very difficult because no matter what I did, I could not get them to speak, roll over or walk on a leash.
    
    Cats are cool if you happen to like them...I'm not a huge cat fan but then having malamutes that eliminated this as a consideration.
    
    Birds of course are always fun - except when you let them out of the cage for exercise and they either fly out the door, poop all over everything, or get eaten by the cat (happened to me - maybe that's why I'm not a huge fan - though who was the stupid one there?)
    
    Good luck whatever pet you decide on!

    My cat is the best pet to have, although he is not for sale, not for rent and you can only get to him through me lol and a bunch of kittykibbles.
    
    
    
    He's a rescue cat - he rocks...very quirky but loveable when he's well-fed, his water dish is topped up and when I'm not overly busy and out of the house...
    
    His quirks include not taking to my absenses very well - my being away more than, say - 4 hours at a time... but after he adjusts once I am home, he's back to normal cuddle-cat and stops "re-initiation" of ME back into our home haha.
