How much time do you spend working on your computer doing hubpages related activities?  I find I am spending most of my waking hours doing some type of adsense-hubpages task.  Is that normal?

I think that depends on the amount of free time you have. I don't have much free time, but I try to write articles often. Usually life happens, though, and I end up doing a whole lot of HP writing, editing, and research for a few weeks or a few months, then taking a break to catch up on my life (children, church responsibilities, spouse, moving, etc.) I wish I could devote more time than that, but in my stage of life it just isn't possible.

        Hi Miki

For the last few weeks, much of my waking time, as wannab says.  That has changed for a while as family visits, and I don't really expect it to go back to that level as job requirements grow.

I kinda feel that I had a real good start, but will have to slow down whether I want to or not, and that's OK, I guess.  Probably end up at 20-30 hours a week, maybe a little more.

My time on hubpages changes from day to day.  Sometimes I am only online to check the comments and fan mail. Other times I'm online for a couple hours. I usually go on hubpages during my down time. I try to devote as much time as possible since I received my first adsense payout and now my adsense revenue is on the rise.

I use to spend several hours, but lately I've only had time to check it about once a day.  I miss the forums.

I'm afraid that I am getting to be an addict as well.  That's great for the summer but may become a problem when I start back to work.  And as far as going on holiday-let's go-as long as they have WIFI

According to the wife the amount of time I spend on here is Too Much.

However if you ever want to earn enough on here to make a living that is about the amount of time I think you need to aim for, at least to begin with!

    Too much time.

No, actually, I spend too much time on the forums, and not enough time actually writing and optimizing my hubs.

I need to correct this, and yet here I am talking to you people... smile

Not much time for me - roughy thirty minutes a day? But I try to make sure it's effective as I'm more interested in business than chat. But if this is social acivity for some, I can understand it taking hours out of the day.

It's hard to really zero in on a number of hours per week for me.  On the one hand, I've pretty much always got a window open for popping on and off HubPages while I'm doing other things (or to take a break from "real" work).  So I'm technically "on HubPages" pretty much all the time.  On the other hand, I may not really be doing anything other than popping back into the forums or responding to a comment that shows up.  So, I may have a few times in a month (I think) when I'm really "on HubPages" and putting together a Hub and not doing other things. On yet another hand (if there were such a thing as a third hand); since I'm self-employed and seem to have a seven-day work week, I'll have those times when I decide I'm going to "veg out" for a day or two and do nothing but hang out on HubPages and do nothing else but check e.mails.  It's my version of "a day of rest".  lol

I leave my computer on all the time and usually have hubpages open.  I write articles in another format and then copy and paste here.
Quality content takes a lot of time.
I spend probably about 3 or 4 hours a day at this.  I do not require much sleep so I am able to work on my writing a couple of hours before I go to work.   When I get home, I edit.  Then write some more, then get something done, like pull weeds, or fix something, then when we settle in for the evening, I work on my hubs while we watch tv.

Way too much.  But I have this obsession to get to 100 hubs.. No, that's not it.  It's the darn HubScore.  I have to keep watching it because it might go down.  No, no, it's the stats - if I don't check them something awful will happen.

Or there could be an interesting question?  Maybe somebody left a comment?   Let's check the forums - it's been almost 10 minutes!

Oh, darn there's another Hubbers You Follow email!

Did I eat today?  I know I didn't shave.  What?  It's almost 7:00 PM???  Impossible.

Depends on what else is going on during the day. Some days all day. On other days a couple of hours.
