    Hi all,

I've turned Kontera on again in this account. I still seem to be getting $0.01 (or less!) clicks. CTR is quite good but these click values are very low compared to AdSense. Has anyone seen better money from Kontera? Does it get better over time?

      Hi Brett,

This is Jonathan from Kontera. As Oli alluded to, as with any network with a large  variety and amount of ads, not all ads are going to have the same PPC value.

However, Kontera does feature an exclusive ad inventory from some of the biggest brands in the world, including Blackberry, Microsoft, Dominos Pizza, National Geographic, Toyota, and more. These premium, often Rich-Media ads are the most attractive to site visitors and offer the best possible CPC.

What I'd recommend is signing into your Publisher Center on Kontera and look under your "Reports" section.  If you examine your "Keyword Report" and "URL Report" that will tell you which keywords and Hubs have been the most successful for you.

Once you have that figured out, you'll have a better sense of what topics to write about to get ads with the best click value .

      Thanks,

      - Jonathan Cohen

Yes, I feel it does get better over time.  I earned cents with Kontera when I first started to use it.  Just like I did with Adsense.  I earned pennies per day and now it's dollars.  Slowly but surly  Kontera is generating revenue for me.

Relache is our resident Kontera expert. I remember her saying once that she didn't really start to see consistent earnings from Kontera until her hubs hit 100,000 pageviews per month.

Read the Kontera section on Relache's hub, Improving Your HubPages Earnings.

I once made $200 from a single Hub with Kontera in a month, but the amount of traffic you need for that is a seasonal Hub running super hot.

Another component to my Kontera success is that one of my referrals has built almost 200 Hubs, they get steady traffic and they run Kontera as well.  I regularly see their URLs in my Kontera stats.

The kontera click value varies just as much as Adsense click value in my experience, albiet at a lower level.  I have seen some pretty high value clicks recently.

I'll keep it on my hubs for a while. I quite like the statistics report they do. I should test it on some of my higher value content sites.
