How long (no of words, paragraphs etc) does an entry have to be to qualify as a hub?

500 is okay, bit 600-1000 is much better. I have some hubs that are long and others that are not. I think 700 good to work with. It mainly depends on what your writing about.

I looked at your two hubs, which are not exactly too short, but anything shorter could be considered sub-standard for a hub on a serious topic. You certainly could make future hubs longer. It is a good idea to insert some images and videos, which is especially important for longer hubs.

For google to even notice your hub it should be at least 500 words. 1000-1500 words is more likely to get a reasonable ranking in google (if there isn't too much competition on your topic.)

Each hub should ultimately have between 1-3 pictures, several paragraphs (each in a seperate capsule), links, a news box (this makes your hub appear fresh to google) as well as some interactive things such as a poll or quiz. A video is also great since it keeps people on your page longer.

Quality not quantity - some hubbers spend hours on one hub!

I've written a hub on it called - How to write quality hubs fast. Might be an idea to check it out.

All my high earners are at least 1200 words, most are higher. I tend to aim for between 1300 and 1800 for my main articles, and around 600 and 1000 for my lead in articles.
