Ads disabled problem after editing a hub

   Whilst editing and tweaking a lot of my hubs I found that one of my most successful hubs ever about slips had an ads disabled notice that said that after review a moderator had restored the ads. So feeling happy about that I got on with what I was doing only to find that after clicking on 'editing done' the alert notice has appeared saying ads are disabled. Considering that I only moved modules about and added a copyright notice for the text I cannot understand why this has happened. If this occurs automatically after editing a hub it means I would have been better off doing nothing! I assume now I have to wait for it to be reviewed again!

   Several other site users have reported this same issue.  Although admin does review and vet Hubs, it doesn't seem the approval "sticks" past any future edits.

   Thanks for the info, Relache! In future I will leave a hub alone I think if the same thing happens! It means that because I didn't know this I have lost advertising now until it is looked at again even though there is nothing wrong with it!

   Hey Bard, in a conversation I had with Staff about the filters-
   
   I was told that the filter will re-run when you come out of edit mode, to ensure the hub is still within standards.
   
   Apparently, HubPages has plenty of people who were in violations and the hubs were unpublished because of it, then when those people made changes and then got their hub accepted, would go back and change things yet again, bring it back to violations.
   
   The filters prevents that from happening. I have one hub that has been stripped of ads, because my hub has too make sex relate words within it And, that is hard to believe, because there is only a short paragraph I wrote on it and the bio of the person, their quotes and a list of their work.
   
   So, I cannot see how it has too many sex related words, but have unpublished it for the time being, until I figure it out.

      I suspected this might be the reason, it's good to have the confirmation.  And I'm actually glad to hear it, as I don't doubt the sad fact that there are some disreputable people determined to author Hubs.

         The only problem Relache is where the line is drawn? With regards to censorship and freedom of speech.
         
         I had one hub that is presently unpublished, because the filter tagged to many sex related words? It is kind hard to believe that, considering it had a bio, personal quotes of said person, and a list of their movies, and nothing else.
         
         The personal quotes, are quotes of things they said in public or inside interviews. Yet, these words are being impacted negatively and hampering the hub's ability to earn.
         
         Personally, I find the filter too restrictive, but that could just be me.

   Cagsil, I am a person who has believed in freedom of speech and no censorship until in the last few months I have been forced to re-evaluate my thoughts on this and this happened because I chose to publicly support David de Rothschild and further co-run a fansite for him. The hate-mail and insanity I have had sent to me and seen posted left me with no option but to delete, block and report at Facebook the people responsible. So I have had to become a censor myself and to police what is put online on sites I am in control of.

   Well, I personally think this filter thing is going a bit overboard. I had two hubs I was going to publish, but when I saved them with titles only--no content in the hub at all--they were flagged and ads disabled. Wanna know the horrible titles that got them in trouble?
   
   "Best Cookbooks for Kids" and "Engaging Asian Cuisine." Gosh, Google and HP would have been really pissed off if I had actually published those, no?
   
   I emailed the Help Desk, but they said I actually have to go and publish them and have them reviewed before they can enable the ads. Go figure...

   How do i contact help desk or admin? I have re-written two of my 'ads disabled hubs'. One seems fine and now has ads displayed. For now. The other still remains disabled.
