Help! The Origins of Moral Rule

   Hi everyone- I was hoping someone could help me out. I need some information about the origins of moral rule for my ethics class. Any information about it would be appreciated since I cannot find what I need on the great big internet. Thank you all. ASAP please!!!!!

         That was Aristotles belief that humans could do no wrog knowingly and that any wrong done was done out of ignorance. Humans want to be caring and compassionate. Too bad some people missed the memo! Thank you.

      The origin of moral rules or ethics? I will agree with Shadesbreath on his post, and add that being moral and knowing morals are two different things. Ethics are no different and should be no different than moral rules. Ethics are more known for the way business conducts itself. Morals apply to people.
      
      To give you the best and most deep thought about the subject, you would have to combine all the philosophies(ways of thinking) together, and derive truth from it.
      
      Morals are simply actions. Whether or not, the action is moral is based on the judgments of others, from the view of Integrity and whether or not that person has any. This will make the action either moral or immoral. However, morality to most is thought of being based on what they know about morals, and that could not be further from the truth, because not many understand morals.

   Depends how far back you want to go.  Do searches for the first human burial.  That will lead you to prehistoric rituals (which you might also search).  Those will have the origins of supernatural beliefs that lead to creation myths and god stories, from which moral RULE emerges through the creation of religions.
   
   You can also look into primate social behavior if you like.  Jane Goodall has some excellent stuff that is very peer reviewed, and that examines social behaviors that underpin "morality" which is a human construct, a set of stories typically that describe or give words/reasons to why those primal social impulses exist.
   
   Start there if you're really at a loss.

   Any information?  OK.  In Eastern France the skeletal remains of a prehistoric man and a stone tablet were discovered.  Once diciphered it was determined the man's name was Moral the Lesser and on the tablet he had laid down the first rule ever recorded in 120,122 BC.  Roughly translated, Moral's Rule simply stated, 'You do it my way or I hit you with a big rock.'  Of course, Moral Rule has changed alot since then.  Hope this helps.

      I'm not sure it helps, but helped clear my brain!!!!! I'm not too sure that it has really changed much from Morals prespective. The politics seems to handle it the same way, and every child does it too!! thanks again! perfect to help lift my mood.
