You can accumulate followers by participating in the forums, chatting with people and by reading and commenting on hubs.
People love comments and usually if you have something to add when you leave a comment then most likely someone will check out you. People have to know you are here, so you have to make your presence known.
You cannot simply write hubs and expect to get followers automatically. Followers are most likely hubbers and not outside readers(unless they become hubbers, such as referrals).
I hope that helped.
I'm glad that I wasn't the only person who was wondering this. Thanks Cagsil for leaving some advice. I've been getting alot lately!
Yes the best advice is above. Get your profile page done. Make it interesting, make yourself interesting. And of course the hubs you publish are important too. I go by the profile first to see who the person is and then the hubs. I only follow people of whom I know i will want to come back and read their future hubs.
You plant a seed in the soil, does it sprout on the spot? No.
You need to take care of the seed it, add manure, water etc and after quite some efforts your plant will grow.
Same here.. you need to post some unique hubs, take part in forums, take the time to "read" other hubbers content and comment on those if you feel like and then at some stage people who have same interests as yours will start following you. So followers wont just pop in after you register in here.
Hope this helps!
Cheers!!

Hello,I've been working hard over the past six months per hubpages and have what I think are a number of nice, interesting hubs. They are getting read quite a bit but few other hubbers choose to follow me. I sometimes will run a query of a topic I'm interested in (like the singer Neil...

How often do you share Hubs you read with your followers? If I read a quality Hub, well written, enjoyable or informative, I usually share it with my followers. I do not share every Hub I read. How often do you share Hubs with your followers? Do you read the Hubs that are shared...

Is it only me, or are there others who think that it should be a common courtesy to reply to comments made to a hub. I always reply to comments made by my followers and others, and people who I follow do the same. I have noticed however, that some hubbers have comments left on their page, and they...

Before following someone, at least you should read his/her hub or profile. I think, there are many reason rather than his or her beautiful face to follow him/her.

Just a quick question, as above, does having followers help your hubs/hubscore?
