Online cheating

I very recently came across a profile in an online dating side in which the man said his wife was disabled and he was looking for friendship with ladies in a similar situation.   My first reaction was that I wanted to ask him 'how about being a better friend to your disabled wife?'   My second was that no one in their right mind would want to help this man cheat on his spouse.

    1.  I am disabled myself and since he had looked at my profile, I'm glad he didn't express any interest in me past that.

    2.  If he was capable of betraying the one he had promised to love, honor and obey, how would his subsequent relationships be any different?

    3.  It's always a pain being 'the other woman', because. deep down, every girl wants to be the one for the one she loves.  We girls are hard wired for that.

That is why I am so choosy on dating sites and avoid baggage.  Even if someone is legally separated, that still implies responsibility to someone that has them already.

There'll be someone that takes him up on it though.

May you find the guy of YOUR dreams.

Personally I think cheating is getting old now and people that do it are considered stupid for the risk they take.A few people have told me that the guilt afterwards eats you alive and you always regret it even if the other one becomes the one and only.

The bible also states clearly for those of christian belief, that what's hot on earth is even hotter when you leave it.

There is always two sides to every coin though,I prefer the right side though:)

JillEM, you said in your initial post that he was looking for ladies in a similar situation. Maybe he was looking for comfort and he felt more comfortable talking it over with woman. He was asking for some advice, since he said someone in a similar situation. He didn't say he was looking for a relationship, he said a "friendship". He probably was just misunderstood..

Hi, liljen23 -- he did say he was looking for females, not other fellows, and he did say 'we'll see what develops'....  that's what turned me off.  One doesn't go on dating sites looking for people of the opposite gender just for moral support....

How disabled is his wife? Is she coherent? Maybe him and his wife talked it over, or maybe hes not a slime ball. All thigs considering though, he probably is. She is probably in a wheelchair now, an he just want to meet someone whos husband is in the same boat so they can make each other feel better by justifying each others situations.

He sounds like the kind of person who is preying on vulnerable women who are going through stuff which makes them feel isolated and in need of support in order to take advantage of their loneliness.  The clue is that for most women in this kind of situation, the last thing that they need is a cheating relationship with a third party.

    I agree with Kathryn LJ.

"He sounds like the kind of person who is preying on vulnerable women who are going through stuff which makes them feel isolated and in need of support in order to take advantage of their loneliness."

The sad thing is that some lonely women will fall for his tactic!
