This native Minnesotan is not getting use to this Sacramento area heat.  GAH - another triple digit day in store for us.

I use to savor my Minnesota rainy and stormy summer days for curling up with a good book or writing.  Its always sunny here - not that its a bad thing, more vitamin D.  I guess now I'll have to say its just too hot outside and that will be my days to savor inside?  People tell me by next summer I'll be use to the heat - I think they are joking lol.

Jane you will adapt. When I was living in LA and the temperatures hit triple digits while uncomftorable I could cope. Now I have been spoiled for far to long living in San Diego. The climate here is pretty much perfect. I would always recommend a drive to the coast for you. I do not know how people inland cope.

I so wanted to go to the ocean today or even a quick trip to San Francisco.  However, hubby is adamant that we unpack more boxes.

Hey Jane-do hang in there, I've heard the East is in the midst of a heatwave too.  Don't know about Minnesota, however.  We're in the triple digits here in Bishop, as well and it's HUMID, which is rare.
Blast those boxes-head to the beach on Amtrak, then BART!  It's nice and cool on those transit systems.

Hey, I didn't know we could get to the coast via train.  Very cool!

It is hot alright.  THe kids are all going to hit the pool at their grandmother's.  If my wife hurries up and comes back from getting her hair done, I'm thinking of joining them.  It's so hot, the lawn is melting.  (That's why I'm sitting in here on HP all day.)
