When it comes to shoes, what is more important, Style or Comfort?

   If I could only have one pair of shoes, they would be style!!!  I think that I could bear the pain if I knew that I looked good.

      I prefer comfort rather than style. If you confident  whatever the style is not a problem for you. But comfort is an important factor for your health.
      
      I can't imagine how my feet using pair of shoes that look good in style but I want to cry when wearing it.

      it is more important to be good to your feet and wear shoes that are comfortable, but that doesn't mean you should wear ugly shoes. and sometimes, like certain special occasions, you can wear totally silly little slippers just to set the mood if you know what i mean, but you would never wear those shoes like walking down the street or something.
      
      i wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of birkenstocks, or platforms. maybe if they were the last shoes on earth but even then i would find some way to improve their appearance.

      EXACTLY...Well, I used to be able to do both after 40 (which wasn't that long ago mind you)....but broke my toe a year ago...crocs it was for about 6 weeks.  Now I have a fractured bone on my foot...again crocs.  And, I'm in a wedding next week....guessing there are no crocks to match my dress.

                  OMG!  Crocs have got to be the ugliest shoe ever designed, so ugly in fact they should be outlawed!
                  
                  Aside from making your feet look incredibly ugly, they aren't even paractical, dirt, water, and little pebbles get into the holes!
                  
                  Forget the crocs, get a nice pair of open toed sandles or even flipflops for your wedding.

    I'm over 40, but I have to go with style (unless the shoes are like the ones I got for one of my kids' graduations, and I was pretty much completely crippled between the time I left the car and the time I walked through the parking lot to the school; but in that extreme case I didn't realize that Pay-ing Less meant getting "knife-edge shoes".)     Usually, though, style isn't uncomfortable enough to make sacrificing it appealing.

    I would say style because when you are going out somewhere you don't look at your house shoes. Most likely you are going to look at your heels!

    It usually depends on how you carry it with.
    
    According to me its "Style" - but if you are not comfortable with it - then its more difficult to manage it.
    
    So, choose the more comfortable pair of shoes, that suits your style and personality.

    Gotta admit it, when I was younger it was the stiletto heels no matter how much they hurt. I even wore high heels at my standing job as a hair stylist. Now, it's all about comfort unless I want a killer backache for a few minutes of style.

    Comfort! Have you seen old ladies feet?  Have you any idea of the agony that is involved in curing bunions caused by unsuitable footwear?  I am amazed more people haven't tried to sue foot wear companies.  Some fashion shoes are the equivalent of foot binding.

    Personally I wouldn't have just one.  I love shoes - and have lots of pairs and their all stylish and comfortable because I make sure of it.  And yes I like to wear up to 6 inch heels and my feet are still perfect.

    Well I always have to go with comfort like I said but you can always buy platform sole high heels.  Just look at Lady GaGa, she wears monster high heels with platforms.  Supposedly she doesn't ever take them off.  Not even to fish at the beach!!!  Crazy...

    Having said that, just because a shoe is stylish doesn't mean it has to be uncomfortable. There are shoes that are both comfortable and stylish, you just have to take the time to find them.

    I do a LOT of walking (I currently live a carless lifestyle), so I usually go for comfort.  If someone's driving or it's a taxi-type night, I'm way more likely to opt for the pointy-toed 4 1/2-inch stilettos.  My partner and I are probably going to buy a used vehicle when we move in the next few months, so we'll see if that changes things.

    I think the older you get, the wiser you get, and it has to be about the comfort.  Especially if you are doing exercising or walking or just plain hanging out.  Little things like diabetes start to nag at the corners of your mind and with that, foot problems - and just the inevitable foot problems as we age....so I go for comfort every time.
    
    All that said, last summer, I had to attend my daughter's wedding and needed to have a pair of very stylish shoes to go with my very beautiful dress.  I don't do well in high heels because I am a natural born Lucille Ball.  I bought a lovely pair of silver moderately heeled flats and thought I was all set.
    
    However - I did not remember that I was in the midst of a bit of a kidney problem/blood pressure problem and that when I went to buy the shoes, my feet were swollen.  Thankfully, all that was cured with a procedure but when I went to the wedding, I had tried on every part of my wardrobe BUT the shoes!  As we lined up to go down the aisle at the beautiful outside wedding on the beach, I was clomping around like a CLYDESDALE thanks to my beautiful shoes being about a size too big.  I finally kicked them off and went sans shoes! So much for style!

       Too often these days, women must make a choice: cute feet, or cute shoes.  Seeing as my feet already look like they've gone through the blender from many years of field hockey, I'm tempted to opt for cute shoes.

    I have a shoe code where I work which makes it nearly impossible to find the right type of shoe to wear with nice clothing (imaginee -- stylish Dior dress and as you pan downwards to the feet -- flat ballerinas greet your eyes..... YUCK!!)  For today, I choose STYLE!!  Would be nice to have some stylin' shoes to wear for a day!!

    As far as the shoes are concerned, both style and comfort are important. However, if you ask for preference, I would definitely say comfort because it can provide protection to your feet.

    I would say, first COMFORT!  Don't get me wrong, I love gorgeous shoes, but if I can't even walk after an hour, then you're barefoot, then the style goes right out the door.  Actually, have you guys heard of VAs?  I saw a few people in LA wear them, they're new, kind of like ugs, but they're much lighter, and not as bulky looking, yet crazy warm, but let your feet breathe.  I saw a girl in Whole foods, she said her friend is the designer.
    I actually tried them on...soooo cool.  Their site is vabrand.com. They look real stylish, but also SUPER comfy!!!!
