WooHoo!
Just a question, is there any way I can find out who this is?
Well done Sparhawke, if you go to URL trackers, click on the tracker itself you can then see who you referred.
I'm up to 23 but only about 5 are active hubbers
I'm not sure of this, but I think you go to the statistic page, and click on URL trackers, and see what it lists?
Again, I am not sure. Do not have any referrals.
Do not get too excited about this. They will probably never show up again; just my own personal experience.
Then again, you never know…
I agree - same with me, unfortunately. Over the last (almost) year, I've had 9 sign-ups and of those only 3 hubs have been published...
The answer above is accurate as to how to see who it is - goto My Account and click on URL trackers, you'll see the number of signups under each tracker (if you have more than one) and then you can click on the tracker to see the user IDs.
Sorry, I've got to agree with both of them as well. I've gotten a whopping 16 referrals. Only 1 of them ever published hubs, and she only ever published 2. Why can't they just get with the program and start earning me money!!!! Just kidding
It's a numbers game. Most will not publish anything. Some will do a few. And a very small percentage might be as prolific as the referrer.
On the rare occasion they may even surpass the hub tally of the referrer.
I've had 53 signups, with 58 hubs published. Only about 20 people wrote one hub (and they are non-moneymaking hubs), lots of people wrote no hubs and one person wrote 23 (the most from any of my referrals). So as darkside said, it definitely is a numbers game!
Check out this hub by darkside about it...

Im surprised at these numbers.
to put in some perspective, i have over 150 referred users - nearing 200k thousand views to their hubs and I would probably hand over my 10% views for a $20 bill.
You have to hook a couple prolific types (of which I have 2 who made the lions share of hubs and probably traffic) to have cause to be excited.
I think a lot of people sign up just to make a comment or on a whim, its not often you get the type who will stick around.
i try and promote my referrals after they publish 10 hubs in order to keep them interested and still writing.
Actually anytime I buy online, i try and see if I can do it via one of my referrals ids once again to keep them motivated.
@infobucket - look up darksides hub on the topic and/or click "link to this page" on the bottom of every page on HP (although my suggestion is to link to the sign up page_

I just started hubbing and I was wondering if those who had been here a while could let me know what kind of results they have had with the referral program? Has anyone tried running advertisements with their hubpage url anywhere? What kind of results did that get? Thanks!

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve site structure, we are removing HubPages referral links from published Hubs by deleting their tracker IDs. HubPages referral links were always intended for use outside of HubPages, and because they redirect, they may cause some page rank to be lost. ...

I've read the FAQ, darkside's hubs, and several forum threads and didn't see an answer to this.If somebody lands on one of my hubs via a Google search, for example, and thinks "WTF is this cr*p? I could do better!" or (hopefully!) "Wow, this is so awesome - I want to join this site...

I've had a few people sign up under my trackers when I send out emails of my hubs, but I was wondering what some of the rest of you have done as far as setting up a more unique way to have friends and family sign up here at hubpages? For some strange reason I don't think my profile link for sign...

Trying to see if I understand this correctly. The trackers only work from outside of HP, correct? So if I have a new affiliate tracker on my profile page or in a hub, it's worthless to me, right? And if I link from one of my hubs to someone else's via a traffic tracker, again, it does me no good,...

Like referrals.1. Why insert an _referralcode into the URL. Couldn't you come up with a dynamic insertion solution? If an insertion was required, what's wrong with appending it at the end of the URL as in ?referrer=xyz? or would that make it too easy for hubbers?2. Why do pages like the Referrals...
