Still wondering what's up. The last several days my Kontera earning have been cut in half...which is pretty weird since they had been consistent all month...I know that several people have mentioned the same issue.
Surely it can't be a hubwide coincidence?
Same here, Marye, although not quite in half. But I think yesterday (7/31) was the worst day ever in eCPM even though my CTR was higher than usual. And this has been the pattern for a little over a week now- consistently seeing earnings drop.
Between Adsense earnings plummeting and this, my revenue isn't much more than it was before I implemented Kontera.
I am bumping this up also. If there is going to be a "Kontera questions - ask them here" thread, please answer them.
I am assuming that kontera have simply run out of advertisers. My earnings started at about $2 a day (which was about in line with what Paul suggested they would be) but have steadily dropped to the point where it is now not worth running them, and I am seeing useless ads for "Online dictionaries" and other such unrelated garbage.
The publishers.kontera site it´s off . I guess it may explain why there were no answers here .
I'm not sure if Mike from Kontera is still checking this thread regularly anymore. You might get a quicker answer by emailing their support alias. As with most advertising market places, I imagine they pass on a relatively fixed percentage of what they get paid to their publishers. So if you're making less they are most likely making less as well.
Fair enough. Although, I suggest you close this thread if that is the case.
How are hubpages finding the earnings from knotera? The same as the test run, or are they dropping along with ours?
Sorry Guys,
I was out of the office since last Thursday on vacation and my apologies for not letting you all know.
I'll be back in the office tomorrow morning and will look into the questions see what has been going on in my abscence.
Again, my apologies for the lapse in response.
Mike
hey... mike doesn't seem to be responding lately... try this...
in the code that they've sent you, it should look something like:
<!-- Kontera ContentLink(TM);-->
<script type='text/javascript'>
var dc_AdLinkColor = 'blue' ;
var dc_UnitID = 14 ;
var dc_PublisherID = 00000;
var dc_adprod = 'ADL' ;
</script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='http://kona.kontera.com/javascript/lib/KonaLibInline.js'>
</script>
<!-- Kontera ContentLink(TM) -->
The part that I've put in bold above is the line that you'd find your PublisherID... it should be 5 numbers - mine was... i replaced it above with all zeros
You can find this by logging on to publishers.kontera.com and then clicking on the ContentLink Setup.
Good luck.
ProCW
forgot the last part... after you get your Publisher ID... go to "my account" in hubpages, then click "Affiliate Settings" and in the Kontera space, input your code. should be fairly simple for you then...
My appreciations to ProCW. Yes, I found the ID and will now be working on it.
Hi All,
I have put in the Kontera ID for about 1 month already in HubPages and Allow Kontera ads in my Hubs. Seems to be not appearing to date. Just wounder why..
Can kontera make payments by cheque the way Google does? Paypal payments is limited and restricted to only 55 countries of paypal operations.
We can send checks or do wire transfers but the wire transfer fee can be a lot in certain countries. If you're in a country that does not work with PayPal, just indicated that you would like to be sent a check in the publisher center.
Thanks,
Mike
Hello all!
I signed to Kontera 2 days ago, got my submission aproved and followed the step-by-step instrucions given to me in Hubpages.
I inserted the affiliate reference and all seemed fine... except i don't see any kontera links in my hubs. Did I missed something?
Anime_nanet
edit. - humm... read some of the post above... so Kontera was a flop then?
Kontera ads only appear to readers that are not signed into HubPages, and they can take a couple seconds to load after everything else on the page has loaded. Try signing out, and looking at your hub again.
Does anyone know if I sign a client up for a Kontera account? The client wants me to take care of it for him, but that would mean the second account would be coming from my IP addy, so they might think it's still me, although all the contact info would be different.
Hi Shirley,
As long as you're not using the same email address, you can sign up another account. Our system registers publishers via their email so if you're looking to establish another account, just create one with an alternate email address and you should be good to go.
Thanks,
Mike
Great, thx Mike!
I won't be nervous about offering to do this for clients, then.

No reports for 3 days now.
I'm still not seeing any ads on my hubs, even when signed out. I had a Kontera account before you started it, and I just used that number. If that was wrong, please tell me how to fix it.
Don't worry. Adsense and Kontera could go together. Read this hub. http://hubpages.com/hub/How-To-Make-Money-With-Kontera

Matthew, I got a broken link icon for this hub. When I put it in edit mode, nothing is highlighted. I deleted one pic I thought it might be and two promotional comments with a website.com. It's still saying that the broken link is there but I can't find it. Please check,...

In reviewing my traffic sources recently, I noticed that I was getting traffic from a site called traffup.com, which I had never heard of before. I went to the site and signed up for it to see what it was all about, and found that someone had posted a link there to one of my hubs. I thought...

Okay, so as a Hubber I am to get 60% ad impressions.But say, for example on January 31, according to Google Analytics, I got 6,434 users which resulted in 6,911 sessions. In addition, numbers from day-to-day on HubPages seem to corroborate this.However, under earnings on HubPages, it gives me 2,427...

I have been on hubpages for two months. I have read multiple articles on SEO and backlinking. Ninety percent of my hubs do not have backlinking. But I choose for a while to say no backlinking. It was "different" I thought and "original". ...
