funny incident which happened to you for trying hot spicy indian food

   trouble you get into as you tried to eat hot and spicy indian food for first time. i am not trying to offence anybody but if you have tried indian food for first time and spicy food is not in your normal routine or traditional menu, this thing would have been more than funny to you, i guess painful actually but try to recall those moments, they might be funny now.(as you are not in pain now). tell me how it goes, your face turned red. or your eyes were full of tear or that causes you longer hour in bathroom or digestive dysfunction.
   
   ( again i am not trying to offence indian community and request people only to give true and funny experince not racist or streotyped)

   Sorry, Bj - I can't really help here.
   
   Yesterday I ate out at an absolutely wonderful Indian buffet, and I enjoyed it all, even the hot and spicy.  I didn't get to try everything, because there were just too many options. 
   
   While I was going through the line, I kept thinking, "WOW, This is so cool [not thermally or spice-wise !!]; I'll have to mention this on HubPages; I wonder if any of my Indian friends there like this.... or this.... or this...." 
   
   I really loved it.

   I enjoy spicy food, even 'hot' curries from our local takeaway, but my bland western palate was not prepared for the real thing. I teach a family learning class where all of my adult students are Pakistani ladies. On our last day of term we had a party and everyone brought in food to share. I tried one dish and it was rather hot, so I shovelled in some rice to cool my mouth down, but the rice turned out to be extremely spicy and felt hotter than the sun. I had a coughing and spluttering fit and had tears in my eyes while saying how delicious everything was (I'm sure it was delicious, but I couldn't taste anything because my taste buds had melted). I did finish off with a lovely sweet rice pudding dish with almonds and fruit in it after I'd recovered.

   I love Indian food, but I do remember going out for a curry once and when one of the dishes arrived, I said, "These green mange tout look really gorgeous".  When I bit into it, there was a short delay before my mouth caught fire.  The "mange tout" were actually chillis. 
   
   The waiters at the restaurant were clearly used to such cases of mistaken vegetable identity, because one of them saw my distress, promptly disappeared into the kitchen and brought out a big bowl of plain yoghurt, which he delivered to our table.  This helped enormously, although it was still half an hour before I'd fully recovered
