I personally think the fact that they adopt children from other countries that dont have anything is more than a way to give back. What do you feel about the "adoptions" and how they are actually interacting with them?
I applaud their effort to take care and adopt other children because taking care of you own children is challenging enough, as long as the children are in better condition than before, it is fine.
To love and take care other children aside form your children is a good act. I hope they may find time to be with the children, as they are busy enough, in terms of money there's no prob, but time and emotional bonding is another thing.
As long as I don't hear of any abuses, then I have no problem with them living their life their way. They have a right to do whatever they choose.
Some people might be a little concerned that they are not helping American children who need adoptions, but then again, what else is new, people always have to complain about something.
I liked the way Bruno adopted his african child (Gayby) .... Using a cardboard box to get him into the country was a novel way of avoiding attention.
I'm quite uncomfortable with it. I was brought up with a white family back in the sixties and it was not a great experience. I hope they really look after them well and give them lots of love and the stories of them having lots of screaming matches is inaccurate. Pictures of Zahara show her with hair that doesn't appear to be very well cared for, so I hope they are looking after their cultural background
I don’t think I’m too comfortable with it either. I fear identity crisis for those children and it’s not only a cultural issue. Brad and Angie both are very active people and parenthood is hard enough without overpopulation in a household with absent parents...
Yeah, I was okay with it back when it was just Maddox and Zahara, but now it just seems like they're collecting children, which really makes me uncomfortable.
I don't think it's really possible to give kids the individual attention they need when there's more than 4 in a family. In my experience, with five or more kids you start getting the older kids pushed into babysitter roles from an earlier and earlier age, until you get to the extreme cases like the Duggars, who "assign" each of their latest kids to one of the older girls to take care of.
That sort of situation is probably less likely with a couple like Brad and Angelina who can afford nannies, but they are such jet setters, I still doubt the kids are getting much consistency or stability in their lives. Which is sad, because that's really important for young children especially. My aunt and uncle are jetsetter types and I think it ruined their daughter. She's 14 years old, smart as a whistle, pretty, rich, and has been all over the world, but I don't think she ever had a very happy childhood, and she's always been a disciplinary nightmare. I dread what will happen when she discovers boys/drugs!
I think it is all admirable but I also think that a lot of what happens in Hollywood we hear only part of what the actual 'story' is. I tend to tune it all out as there are too many other vital things in my own life to worry about what the stars do. I think they seem to be the real deal though - and that is a great example for the rest of us. I so admire folks who adopt and think it is a wonderful way to give back to the world at large. It is a truly selfless act and giving on the highest plane.
I think the biggest problem they will face is when people say white adopting black. Come on people we are all human beings. The lines have blurred so much that the prejudices should be less of an issue. I agree that helping the child trumps all the social issues fanned by old racial stereotypes.

Is it OK for an adult to dress up and go out trick or treating?I don't mean adults taking their kids around or young adults enjoying their last Halloween. What do you think about adults who trick or treat, looking for candy on Halloween night?

What do you think of Angelina Jolie's recent decision to have a double mastectomy? If you are a woman and had the same test results, would you have made the same decision? If you're a man, would you want your wife/significant other to do the same?
