Do single people have more fun?

   Recently i got into an argument with my friend. She thinks relationship keeps you from having fun because you compromise more often ?
   
   What do you guys think? I would love to discuss with you on this.

      Depends on your own definition of fun.
      
      For me personally I can have a good time, or have fun as in lots of laughter, and enjoy funny occasions with either being on my own, with friends, family or with a special someone.

         I agree fully kangaroo_Jase. If the couple shares a good rapport then they can have a good time else it could be very hard time understanding each other.

      I always want a girlfriend when I'm single. I always want to be single when I've got a girlfriend. Either I haven't met the right girl yet, or I'm extremely confused.

   Is lonely fun?
   
   I have been married 43 years.  I would never want to be single.  She is my  best friend and lover, my  helpmate, my confidant and companion.
   
   What "fun" can you have that I do not have with her?

   If you cannot have fun because you compromise, I'd say you have a definite problem.  Life is always a compromise whether with a mate or a friend.
   
   In addition, a relationship always provides someone to have fun with - you don't have to go out and find someone.  Is your friend just ticked off because you spend time with a SO instead of with them?

      Being single can be the pits, just as marriage or relationships can be the pits. I was married for a long time. I've been single for a few years now, and although I prefer a relationship, it's been good for me to understand myself more, and learn how to be happy on my own. Both can be good experiences. Maybe at some point I'll be in another relationship, but until then, I'm good to go.

   Wow, that's the typical "grass is always greener" arguement. LOL! But seriously, I believe it all depends on the importance of values and personal preferences one decides to have. It could go either way. Me personally, after everything I've experienced a successful relationship only adds more over time to my fun! I couldn't imagine being single right now.

   I miss being single sometimes, but i am SO much happier being in a relationship. I was a wreck when I was single, maybe it's just a coincidence but I hope I never have to go back and find out.
