   It's currently £1.25 a litre in sunny UK. I am so glad I don't need a car.

   3.34 USD per gallon here. We Yankees still have a good deal, compared to Europe. But we always did, back to the 60s and 70s. Europe put a premium on oil then, as it does now. This country I live in pretends that these fuels are limitless (all you have to do is pay more for them). They are not. I'd like to see a 10 USD per gallon price. Maybe that would rock Detroit into getting off their arses.

   £1.39 per litre in Northumberland, northern England, yesterday. Almost swerved off the road! My currency converter tells me that's $2.26 USD, as a reference for those over the pond.
   
   The UK must surely now have the highest petrol prices in the world?!

    here in our city, the cheapest kind (we call it diesel or unleaded) is P44 per litre while the most expensive is about P52 or P51 per litre. Converting to gallons and to US $ at P44 to US$1, that's about $3.8 per gallon to $4.5 per gallon.

    In Vancouver B.C. the cheapest gas is $1.27 per liter-our dollar is about the same as the us dollar.We had better get bicycling.
