I went to lunch with my mother and, instead of ordering a drink after, I ordered carrot cake.  I had my fair share of drinks before I was 21, so I would rather have cake.  Cake trumps all in almost every occasion.

I drank entirely too much and blacked out. Fortunately I was with my brother and a good friend.

Even though I could not remember most of what happened that night I learned NEVER to drink that much again...and I haven't. It was a very good thing to learn that young.

Ha! I was pregnant with my daughter (child number two)-I spent the day doing housework, changing diapers, yada yada.  Nothing special for me that day.  I'll be hitting the big 3-0 very soon though~hoping to maybe make a big deal of that one! LOL

I hit up all the bars for my  free birthday drink! I got to try my first Guinness at the recommendation of a patron at the irish bar I went too after ordering a 3 wise men concoction. I did have lots of fun but decided that bars are more depressing then fun hmm

The irish one was the best in terms of not being a total downer, folks were actually friendly and a bit more lively smile

(thats a irish bar in the states btw)

I had a party at my parent's house. A lot of family and friends. BBQ style with big volleyball net, pool, and rock band. Tapped my first keg, lost in beer pong sad , and did my first keg stand. Still not a big drinker and have never been drunk. But it was a lot of fun.

Went to Atlantic City for my 21st. That was my first and last time there. Was just happy to be drinking legally big_smile

Was there the whole day - NO ONE even proofed me - UNTIL... it was time to go home and I asked a security personnel where the rest room was and she asked me for I.D. - "To go to the restroom" I asked and she said - "No, to be in the casino" she said. Meanwhile, I had only walked past this lady no less than a dozen times that day and NOW she was proofing me!

Should have thought of that too! Didn't shove it in her face but did mention that I had been walking back and forth, past her all day. Just amused to see how observant casino security really is. Nice to know that I could have gone there before I turned 21 - as long as I didn't ask for a restroom, I'd have been fine smile

I remember that i waited and waited for my new husband to come home for the special dinner i had prepared for both of us for my 21 birthday. He phoned late and told me that some rhinoceros have escaped from a Safari Park and were roaming the streets of a small city in Catalunya, Spain. He had to go with his rifle and shot them to sleep so they could be recaptured and brought back to the Safari Park.  This could have been quite a lame excuse for any other husband, but mine was a vet at the Zoo, so i knew he was not lying to me. Nevertheless, he stayed with the Rhinos and not with me...
