It sure has, too. I crossed 100 followers today, and found as well that my Amazon has reached payout (at least the $10 level) for the first time since writing my first serious hub on June 6th. I didn't even need the $.20 I made last month!
So c'mon all the rest of you other newbies; get busy, write some hubs and join me on the bandwagon! It's moving slow, but it's moving sure.
Congratulations! I'm waiting for $200 on amazon to get my payout (coz I live in Australia.) Only up to about $20 lol.
Good job! Adsense next...
Thanks.
Wow - $200 for payout! I'd die of old age first, I think. But your sales hub effort should help considerably, if I know you.
And yep, adsense is slowly growing as well, at a little over $10 also. Another 30 or 60 days and I expect I'll get that as well even though I've had to really slow down on new hubs (though one more today).
Well the great thing is once adsense takes off... it certainly takes off. July tripled my best adsense month in earnings and August looks like it's set to beat July.
And all the money I'm getting on adsense now is coming from hubs I wrote 3-4 months ago. Won't be long for you, I'm sure!
I think you're right - it's a steep growth curve. .02 my first month, then $3, and $8 so far this month. At this rate of increase I'll retire in less than a year and in 3 years rival Bill Gates
Congrats on making the Amazon payout. I have yet to make payout, but I am within a dollar.
I have been having better luck with AdSense, though. Still need to improve traffic and could do a lot better I would suspect.
Way to go! It'll happen - just give it time (and work, unfortunately). It's a start, and like Wrylilt says will keep increasing.
It will indeed, Wilderness! I should have my first $200+ Adsense month and should receive my first $100+ Amazon payout also! I hope things keep moving this way!
All right Randy! You give us newbies hope for the future. But if you rest on your laurels we'll catch you.... Best keep writing!
Ah, but quantity doesn't guarantee success, Wilderness. I know this by the posts from some who have many times the number of hubs I have posted here. But there is safety in numbers I suppose!
I spend no time on back linking either so perhaps you will breeze right past me! LOL! Just toot your horn and wave at me, I'll understand!
I am positive you're right about quantity vs quality. But both at once, on the other hand.....
Plus I suppose that the safety in numbers is valid. More (good) hubs means more places to take up slack from one that didn't do well this particular month.
I don't back link either - just some RSS feeds to places on Sunforgeds hub.
As far as tooting my horn - nah, I don't think so! Reach out, grab ya and drag you kicking and screaming along is more like it. I like company
Me too, Wilderness! Like Cags, I want other newbies (still consider myself as one) to not get discouraged by all of the talk about having to work one's butt off to make a few bucks here.
Sure, it depends on the individual, but it is possible to write about what you enjoy and still make money in the process. It needn't be a chore which you dread to do! It can be lots of fun! I speak only for myself, of course!
No, you don't speak only for yourself - you speak for me as well.
If I didn't enjoy the writing I wouldn't do it at all. It is a chore only when I feel that I really need to produce something and don't really want to, but those times are rare - while I currently don't have the time to do as much as I want I just adjust my weekly or monthly goals down to match what I can do and still enjoy it.
While it can be work to study technique, SEO and such the writing is the thing and it's fun. I enjoy learning new things - even boring things like SEO.
Yes, I do seo research on most hubs. I do believe in using this tool! And learning new things is always interesting!
Hey Wilderness,
Congratulations!
I'm glad things are moving forward for you.
Thanks, Cags. It's fun times to see even little things happening.
But I didn't quite count you as a newbie It'd be quite a downgrade for you to match my earnings!
Well, that's true, but I wanted to Congratulate you on your success. Grant it, I am not a newbie, but still
Understand. And that's at least half the reason for the OP, too. Just a little boost to other newbies that it really can be done and that others are in the same place, fighting to learn how and feeling that nothing is happening. A little encouragement never hurts.

Finally, I reached google adsense payout today, what a memorable day! It took exactly 9 months, I just hate to start again from zero now. How long did you take to reach payout? Just curious:0)

I was lucky today and hit my first adsense payout by going over a hundred dollars, more than 20K Views and just reached 318 followers. It all seems good.Wanted to share and say thanks to my followers and for all the support and encouragement I have gotten to this point from all the...

And today it's $16.68. How did that happen?I made payout recently, and I got the check last week. I was thinking I might make payout again this month, with a forty-one dollar total. But now it's clear I won't. How did my earnings since last payout get so drastically reduced overnight?

I've been a member for two years but wrote the majority of my hubs over the last two months after I finally got motivated to do so. $100 is not very much to be honest but it just goes to show that making money online is possible when I really didn't believe it at the beginning! Now I...
